Devil Fruit Name: Kirin Kirin no Mi

Appearance of the Fruit:

Whilst soft to the touch, the Kirin Kirin no Mi is actually quite tough and leathery to chew, a fact only those brave enough to devour it will find. At first glance, the fruit bears a striking resemblance to an oversized Raspberry, though the most notable difference being its bumpy texture that seems to conceal white patches of fur all around it, which is something only a close inspection would serve to reveal. This same white fur is also found in the form of a large tuft at the very top of the fruit, which conceals a multicoloured stem. The rather 'hairy' nature of this fruit is however far overshadowed by it's rather vibrant and alluring appearance, which starts off as a shade of purple at the base of the fruit which rises upwards in a multitude of exotic colours before finally ending at a crimson red hue.

Abilities of the fruit:

[Full Transformation]

The core power of the fruit as the name suggests is to allow the user to transform into a fabled creature of Chinese folklore - the Kirin. In terms of size, a full transformation can allow the user to reach the height and length of a rather large horse. Whilst this stature may dwarf most humans in comparison, it is not too far off from certain bulky quadrupeds in the animal kingdom. In terms of appearance, the user loses his humanoid shape in favour of something more closely resembling the majesty of a draconic horse. More specifically, it is the body of the Kirin that shares all these horse-like connotations, the most obvious of which the four slender, yet muscular legs that end in jagged cloven hooves.

The Kirin's more fierce appearance comes from it's slender serpentine neck that ends in the head of a scaled dragon. The scales themselves are white in colour and found completely encasing the creatures body like protective chain mail. Not only is each scale highly durable, but also razor sharp and easily capable of lacerating most through a simple touch. Strangely, the head of the Kirin also possesses two deer-like antlers that sweep outward before curving back towards the creatures neck, which often leads to most mistaking the shape of a distant Kirin to that of a oversized deer.

Other notable features include a pair of eyes that resemble two shards of jade, and a rather slender tail that spans around three times the length of the Kirin's body. Starting from the base of its neck, the creature also possesses a majestic pearl-white mane that stretches all the way to the tip of its tail. Quite often, the main flows upwards like flickering flames, always refusing to be pulled down by gravity’s hold. This very same pristine fur can also be found wrapped around where each hoof meets with the Kirin's leg, giving off the appearance of clouds caught in the beasts stampede.

[Half Transformation]

During a half transformation, the user will lose his beast-like form in favour of something more humanoid and bipedal to allow for more dexterity. The most obvious change of all would be the users torso, which will warp into a pair of hind legs belonging to the Kirin. Much like a belt, there is also a ring of white fur wrapped around where the users human body meets with the scaled horse-like legs, giving the transformation the look and feel of a Satyr. Much like the full form, the hooves are cloven and quite jagged in appearance, which gives off the appearance that each hoof ends in a pair of menacing claws.  

The only other notable changes would be the users skin, the entirety of which now composed of pearl-white scales that act as defensive armour. Compared to the users human form, a half transformation will usually add an inch or two to his height, not to mention also give him a more feral appearance due to the fanged teeth and finger nails that end in sharpened points. Keen observers will also be able to take note of the users pupils which will transform into a vibrant shade of green, and his hair which will almost look as if it had instantaneously aged into a strong white hue.

Weaknesses

-Seastone, still water like the Sea and Haki can all be used to negate the fruits powers.
-Those of a good will or alignment can resist some of the fruits powers.

Devil Fruit Progression:

Level 1 - 2: Requires 4 threads.
Level 2 - 3: Requires 4 threads.
Level 3 - 4: Requires 5 threads.

Mastery levels

First Level

[Zoan Transformation]: The user has the ability to freely shift between his default human form, fully transformed state and half transformation.

[Divine Reading]: The Kirin boasts the ability to divinely know whether someone is good or evil, and even guilty or innocent of a certain act. This is an ability the user can access in their half or full transformation, allowing him to sense the 'nature' of a single person at a time. While this can be used to sense if someone is of potential danger to those around them, it cannot be used to predict someone’s actions or even if the target is trustworthy. This power could potentially read someone as a good person at heart for example, even if they intend on killing the user if that goal falls into the moral boundaries of 'good'.

[Air Hike]: Despite their fierce demeanour, Kirin are quite gentle and have been said to be able to walk on grass without disturbing a single blade. At its current level, Air Hike allows the user to jump while in mid air up to twice, effectively allowing them to dodge attacks whilst in mid air and leap long distances through the aid of multiple jumps whilst in hybrid or full form.

[Emerald Splash]: Whilst in his full transformation, the user has the ability to unleash a basketball sized fireball from his mouth. At its current level, only one fireball can be formed per post which can only be fired in a linear direction. Quite uniquely, the flames are emerald in colour and can inflict heavy burns to those of a evil alignment, whilst only about half damage to neutral folk. Those following the path of justice and good however will find themselves immune to the flames heat, even if the user considers them an enemy.

Second Level

[Zoan Transformation]: The user has the ability to freely shift between his default human form, fully transformed state and half transformation. As well as all this, he will also unlock the potential to access three more forms that each focus heavily on a single aspect of the Kirin's body.

[Divine Reading]: The Kirin boasts the ability to divinely know whether someone is good or evil, and even guilty or innocent of a certain act. This is an ability the user can access in their half or full transformation, allowing him to sense the 'nature' of everyone in the immediate vicinity. While this can be used to sense if someone is of potential danger to those around them, it cannot be used to predict someone’s actions or even if the target is trustworthy. This power could potentially read someone as a good person at heart for example, even if they intend on killing the user if that goal falls into the moral boundaries of 'good'.

[Air Hike]: Despite their fierce demeanour, Kirin are quite gentle and have been said to be able to walk on grass without disturbing a single blade. At its current level, Air Hike allows the user to jump while in mid air up to a maximum of four times, effectively allowing them to dodge attacks whilst in mid air and leap long distances through the aid of multiple jumps whilst in hybrid or full form. Through great focus, the user may even walk on the air itself, though no more than a few centimetres off the ground. Due to this required focus, the fear of falling will often cause the user to simply fall as per usual should he attempt to walk across a deep hole or chasm.

[Emerald Splash]: Whilst in his full transformation, the user has the ability to unleash multiple basketball sized fireballs from his mouth. At its current level, three fireballs can be fired in rapid succession, all of which only able to traverse a linear direction. Quite uniquely, the flames are emerald in colour and can inflict heavy burns to those of a evil alignment, whilst only about half damage to neutral folk. Those following the path of justice and good however will find themselves immune to the flames heat, even if the user considers them an enemy.

Third Level

[Zoan Transformation]: The user has the ability to freely shift between his default human form, fully transformed state and half transformation. As well as all this, he will also unlock the potential to access a total of seven forms that each focus heavily on a single aspect of the Kirin's body. Whilst most Zoan users become stronger and faster at this stage, the Kirin forms trade this extra strength in favour of more speed. The user could potentially enhance this even further via a rumble ball to force him into the form of a monstrous and hate-filled Kirin that will mindlessly attack anything and everything without prejudice for 4 posts.  

[Divine Reading]: The Kirin boasts the ability to divinely know whether someone is good or evil, and even guilty or innocent of a certain act. This is an ability the user can access in their half or full transformation, allowing him to sense the 'nature' of everyone in the immediate vicinity. While this can be used to sense if someone is of potential danger to those around them, it cannot be used to predict someone’s actions or even if the target is trustworthy. This power could potentially read someone as a good person at heart for example, even if they intend on killing the user if that goal falls into the moral boundaries of 'good'.

  • [Pursuer of Evil]: The user is moderately faster when fighting against those he reads to have a wicked heart or the intent to harm the innocent. There is also a slight increase in speed when fighting against someone of a neutral alignment, though no real boost when in battle against someone of a good or kind nature.

[Air Hike]: Despite their fierce demeanour, Kirin are quite gentle and have been said to be able to walk on grass without disturbing a single blade. Through slight focus, Air Hike allows the user to literally walk through the air as if they could fly, allowing them to keep up with aerial targets and easily traverse dangerous terrain by climbing over them as if the air were a flight of stairs.

[Emerald Splash]: Whilst in his full transformation, the user has the ability to unleash a stream of fiery wrath from his mouth. At its current level, the flames can only be maintained for a few seconds, after which they will rapidly die down into nothing more than a flurry of embers. Quite uniquely, the flames are emerald in colour and can inflict heavy burns to those of a evil alignment, whilst only about half damage to neutral folk. Those following the path of justice and good however will find themselves immune to the flames heat, even if the user considers them an enemy.

Fourth Level

[Zoan Transformation]: The user has the ability to freely shift between his default human form, fully transformed state and half transformation. As well as all this, he will also unlock the potential to access a total of seven forms that each focus heavily on a single aspect of the Kirin's body. Whilst most Zoan users become stronger and faster at this stage, the Kirin forms trade this extra strength in favour of more speed. The user could potentially enhance this even further via invoking their monster form for 10 posts, during which time he will have full control over himself.

[Divine Reading]: The Kirin boasts the ability to divinely know whether someone is good or evil, and even guilty or innocent of a certain act. This is an ability the user can access in their half or full transformation, allowing him to sense the 'nature' of everyone in the immediate vicinity. While this can be used to sense if someone is of potential danger to those around them, it cannot be used to predict someone’s actions or even if the target is trustworthy. This power could potentially read someone as a good person at heart for example, even if they intend on killing the user if that goal falls into the moral boundaries of 'good'.

  • [Pursuer of Evil]: The user is considerably faster when fighting against those he reads to have a wicked heart or the intent to harm the innocent. There is also a moderate increase in speed when fighting against someone of a neutral alignment, though no real boost when in battle against someone of a good or kind nature.

[Air Hike]: Despite their fierce demeanour, Kirin are quite gentle and have been said to be able to walk on grass without disturbing a single blade. Through slight focus, Air Hike allows the user to literally walk through the air as if they could fly, allowing them to keep up with aerial targets and easily traverse dangerous terrain by climbing over them as if the air were a flight of stairs. Whilst Air Hiking, the user also gains the ability to accelerate and reach his top speeds faster than what those running along the ground would be able to achieve under normal circumstances.

[Emerald Splash]: Whilst in his full transformation, the user has the ability to unleash a column of fiery wrath from his mouth. At its current level, the flames can be maintained for an entire post, after which they will rapidly die down into nothing more than a flurry of embers. During a hybrid or full transformation, the user also gains the ability to set his scales ablaze to use the inferno as defensive armour. Quite uniquely, the flames are emerald in colour and can inflict heavy burns to those of a evil alignment, whilst only about half damage to neutral folk. Those following the path of justice and good however will find themselves immune to the flames heat, even if the user considers them an enemy.

  • [Bringer of Fortune]: Though unable to bring good fortune to themselves, Kirin are regarded highly as symbols of luck and good omens. While those of a wicked nature will be burned by Emerald Splash, those that are truly kind will find themselves with 'luck' for a single post, which will allow them to perform a single lucky feat before the effects wear off and stop working for five posts. While the user can't give himself luck, he could for example alter the 'luck' of someone shot by a bullet so that the projectile might miss the targets internal organs and bones before passing through cleanly. People of a neutral nature can be given luck, however the price of that is being burned by Emerald Splash. The user could also potentially give an enemy good fortune, which would prevent him from using Emerald Splash in order to avoid such an scenario.

Translation

-Can you please add in a translation. These aren't really important things, but just things I would like.

Appearance

-Can you please add in a picture of this creature? It would just make imaging the creature easier.

Thread Progression

-With this there is no issue just thought you should know when I try to make these up I try to keep it so in total its about 9-10 if possible so I'd advise trying to do the same, like if you look at my other zoans you'll see what I've done.

Weaknesses

-I don't think this weakness
-Those of a good will or alignment can resist some of the fruits powers.
can really be monitored fairly.

Levels
Level 1
-[Divine Reading] this will not be allowed since this is meta gaming and there is already a fruit which allows this power

-[Emerald Splash] this technique is fine, however I will say drop the whole good/bad alignment thing because this cannot really be judged fairly and cannot really be measured fairly either.

Level 2

-[Divine Reading] this is not going to be approved since it is practically observation haki.

-[Emerald Splash] Again I would say its fine just drop the alignment bits.

Level 3

-[Divine Reading] & [Pursuer of evil] I will say again these are way too close to being like observation haki and I feel the whole good/bad alignment just doesn't work. I would like you to remove it in all techniques because if anything it gives you an unfair advantage also as mentioned earlier good/evil cannot really be judged fairly.

Level 4

- All of what I have said about these abilities previously still stand and as for [Bringer of Fortune] I personally feel that granting a user luck is something that is difficult to judge in rp so I would prefer you remove it. Mainly because it is up to the user what happens to the character so if they wish it, their character could be super lucky almost all of the time without this.
