Appearance:

The island is a country sized island, which is a lush green meadow, vast hills almost reaching catastrophic heights similar to that of mountains & has no forms of civilization over the grounds at all but all in the hills which seem to change place day after day. On the hills there are many different towns. Each town is ruled by someone different. The hills in actual fact are not hills though. But the hills are actually large turtles which have grass growing over their backs that people believed to be hills at one point but after having their homes crushed by these large wandering turtles they migrated to their backs. There are currently four of these giant turtles scattered over the island.

History:

The island was discovered many years ago in which citizens were forced to leave their previous homes at the risk of execution due to their beliefs. Arriving on this island they took it upon themselves to search for other people who lived on the island. After searching the island and discovering no one else the started to build their own towns to live in peacefully. After months of living here they happily agreed they had found a new home where they were free of prejudice. Expanding their town once they had everything they needed to begin with the villagers soon brought in reports of giants in the midst on the island. Sending out search groups no one ever reported back. This frightened citizens at the thought that monsters were coming for them. Days later after living in fear they discovered how half of their town had vanished overnight. Not understanding how or where it had gone they started to rebuild once again. After many years whilst the town expanded again during an exploration of the island to its further quadrants they discovered the other half of their town. When they discovered it they also heard of the Great Turtles. Not the monsters they had once believed them to be but the four guardians of the island. Understanding this the townsfolk all agreed it would be safer to live on their backs as opposed to the ground where they could be stepped upon. After several years the group found the 4 turtles and set up home building their towns.

The island is governed by a simple few people who like to keep the town simple and free of violence. They work dealing with the simplest of systems much like the Amish.
