North Blue
Brigton City

Clouds above floated across the city overlooking the beautiful city below, the canal which stretched throughout the width of the city was calm and beautiful, resting lazily whilst boats sailed all along it, bridges reached over the top of it from side to side allowing people to reach opposite sides of the city. All 23 bridges each one different special and a landmark of the city from the Lamsmark Bridge donated by the tricourt islands, to the Diamond Back Bridge the city's first bridge dead center of the city & the canal. The streets were paved with stone and carriages made their way along them as the horses trotted along calmly with an heir of joy in their trot. High above the paved paths the clock tower's bell rung signalling the time as 11:00. Checking their watches a group of gentlemen below looked over their fob watches before making their move by hoping atop their horses.

Doused in black cloaks and hats the group lifted black neckerchiefs around their faces to avoid dust rising. Sprinting across the New Well Bridge atop their horses the small troop reached the other side with a grin on their face. Not man nor woman or child had been harmed by the horses that had darted past them. This city wasn't a dangerous one and anyone who dared bring trouble would be the one in danger. Looking over the bridge was the Marine Head Quarters reaching down to the canals with their own small harbor and boats for the canal if need be.

At the church the doors were opened and out came a couple dressed in the finest materials, doused in a white flowing wedding dress the newly made wife planted a kiss on her husband's cheek and seconds later the two slipped their fingers around each other's hands and made their way down the stairs through the middle of an audience of people either side of their family & friends who threw confetti.

Reaching their carriage the the gentleman helped his wife take the big step in and climbed in himself. Closing the door behind him, the carriage started up and was on its way. Above in the steeple a single man stood dressed in a tuxedo chomping on a poorly rolled cigarette. Finishing it off he exhaled and flicked it out of the open window. The cigarette landed in a pile of hay which had oddly been placed on the lower portion of the church's rooftop. Bursting in flames the hay signaled the men who had made their way across the city.

One of the men atop the horses rode off into the distance down a street in search of something of great importance, the rest hoped down from their horses and placed their hands into their coat pockets. Heading for the doors to a bank, the group made their way inside to find many people waiting to speak to the bank tellers. Two security guards stood either side of the door.

Out of the five men who entered the bank, the last two of them entered and removed their revolvers from their holsters via holes in their coat pockets and pistol whipped the guards around the face. Knocking them unconscious the two men at the back then turned towards the door as one grabbed hold of the doors the other reached for his own belt and quickly tied the doors shut with it. Stepping to either side and up into the main floor the two men hid behind two medium sized black statues of owls. The other three quickly got under way with crowd control.

Raising his revolver into the air and firing a single shot which sent everyone into a panic the man shouted "Get on the fucking floor now or lose your brains that you clearly ain't using!" following his orders with gusto the group hit the floor terrified and the other man shot the lock to the door for the bank tellers and as he made his way back there, he hoped onto a desk and did the same as his partner. Shooting into the air and commanding they hit the floor he watched as one of the tellers attempted to reach for something and in seconds there was a hole and a crimson shirt.

"That's what happens to people who don't like to play the rules, so you better all do as I say and you'll all get out of this alive. Got it?"

Getting frightened nods from the hostages, the final man headed off to grab the loot with a bag that had been hanging from his shoulder whilst his colleges carried out crowd control. Their man outside was searching for a carriage whilst their other stood guard, they knew how things went down and this man stood in the tower making sure to cover them.

Stopping his horse in front of a carriage, the bandit removed his revolver and ordered the driver to leave it. Obeying these demands the man made sure there was no one in the carriage too. Clear. Reaching into the horse's saddlebag, he started climbing atop the carriage, he begun to drive it towards a small alleyway near the bank where his colleges were getting their pay.

Tossing wads and wads of beli into his bag the bandit grinned, the crisp bills which sat in his hands would always place a smile on his face and even with the risk of robbing this bank high on his shoulders, he didn't mind, it was worth it when it was this bank, if they got away with it, they'd be millionaires and all tat stood in their way was the Marines if they could even get wind of their operation which they probably wouldn't or the Pirate Hunter which was the most terrifying one. Thankfully it seemed that the Marines were previously occupied with a young man in a cavern that belonged to Jonti Noble.

Watching over the bank entrance was the man stood within the church steeple.

"Nice to see you boys are thinking ahead so the Marines won't catch ya, but your unlucky that their busy and you got me." a voice perked up from behind the man in the steeple. Turning around the gentleman in the tuxedo holding on to a sniper rifle caught sight of a man dressed up in black boots a pair of black trousers with a red spiraling traditional Chinese dragon reaching around the right leg from top to bottom.

Smiling with a cigar hanging from his lips the gentleman in the steeple stepped forward exposing his torso to the gentleman in the tuxedo. Recognizing him the man raised his snipe rifle only to feel it stopped and slammed into the wall. Forced back against the window, the man could feel the rifle against his neck. Moments later consciousness was as good as gone and the man who'd been responsible had left him hand cuffs with his hands behind his back and around a bar connected to the window.

Within the bank the bandits all stood guard making sure the citizens wouldn't move nor try any heroics, thankfully no one was yet to attempt it. Returning from the vault the gentleman with a bag full of beli called out in a loud echoing voice.

"Thank each & every one of you for your patience, we are very thankful, this would not have been possible if it hadn't been for you all."

Making his way towards the exit the bandits all followed with him as they begun to unwrap the belt from the door.

Whilst the bandits had been in the midst of their robbery the same man who'd brought down the man in the steeple was making his way downwards. Dropping from the church steeple and grabbing hold of the edge of the church and clinging to a gargoyle he caught sight of the carriage being made to look like a wedding carriage. Anyone with brains knew these were made up in the places carriages came from and more to the point, the wedding had just come & gone and their carriage was long gone right now. Dropping down from the gargoyle to land on the roof of the carriage the gentleman crashed through it landing roughly on top of the sofas inside.

Stepping back angrily the bandit removed his revolver and took aim on the carriage. Looking up then back to the mess of a carriage that he'd been working on he saw nothing. Feeling groggy beneath the layers the gentleman slowly began to move pushing aside the collapsed walls of the wooden carriage. Sitting up and peering back at the bandit armed with revolver he stopped for a second raising his hand to signal hold on a moment.

"Funny how're your all ready to shoot me and you don't even know who I am just yet." he said as he slowly pushed himself off from the debris and on to his feet. With a stream of blood pouring from his right just below his ribs down towards his trousers the bandit looked horrified.

"You know your bleeding right?" the bandit replied gesturing towards the wound.

Looking the man muttered.

"Oh gosh darnit"

Placing a hand over it he continued to step closer to the bandit before he heard the sound of his revolver's hammer being pulled back.

"Take another step and your a dead man."

Looking into the bandit's eyes the man nodded and stepped back.

"That's a fair one. But would you say it'd be fair to say that you were dressing up that carriage back there to look like the wedding one that just left not 10 minutes ago with a happy couple inside so you could pick up your bank robbing buddies in it ditch the wedding things and then leave all forms of justice to assume it was them ruining their happy day and allowing you guys to get off scott free?"

Out of panic that this man had figured it all out, the bandit squeezed the trigger sending out a shot towards the man who dropped to one knee and cast his right hand forward. The bullet shot over the carriage and from the man's hand flew a small knife which dug itself into the bandit's stomach. Struck by the sudden shock the bandit paused giving the man just enough time to charge and dig his foot into the knife's hilt digging it in further. Knocking the bandit on his arse, the man stood over him and disarmed him taking his revolver. Checking the ammunition he counted five. Nodding to him the man smiled.

"Cheers buddy, I'll be using these to bring down your five other colleges."

"How do you know..."

"Because the Black League Bandits aren't smarter than me."

Walking out of the alleyway knowing he'd either die of blood loss or try to escape and not get very far, the man made his way out of the alleyway with a newly acquired revolver in his hands & a smile on his face. Wandering past a washing line he found himself a simple white shirt which he quickly took for himself and pulled on over his torso. Pulling it on and over his naked torso, The man buttoned it up, most of the way and rolled up the sleeves.

As the five bandits exited the bank and looked left, right then finally straight ahead all they caught sight of was a man in black boots with a pair of black trousers with a traditional red dragon reaching around them and a white shirt.

"He's not coming." were the only words the bandits heard from this man before the sound of a revolver and their heart beats rung in their ears.

squeezing the trigger five times, five lead babies were pumped free. One for One bandit. The first ripped through a jugular vein, the second the carotid artery, the third through the middle of the heart, fourth the center of the neck and finally the fifth ripped straight through the left eye ball.

Lying dead & red over the pavement outside the bank the money sat beside them and a smoking revolver was dropped from the fingers of The Brigton City Pirate Hunter.

Chapter I: The Pirate Hunter Empty Re: Chapter I: The Pirate Hunter

Post by Izu Sun Aug 03, 2014 6:50 am

Walking down the street of Brighton City with a map in her hands was a young dark haired woman. Slung over her shoulder was a knapsack filled with personal belongings. The woman's bangs were long and left to fall free to her sides, while the rest of her hair was much shorter and pulled back into a ponytail. The woman's attire stuck out in the crowd, and it was plain to see that she wasn't from this city.

True enough, Fleur Bellerose was from a different island in the North Blue. She was visiting Brighton City on account of following her dream. Fleur was a young chef with a goal of compiling recipes from every Island into one large cookbook. At the moment however, the cook had something else in mind, she wanted to visit the canal and see all the different bridges. This was the reason Fleur had purchased a map of the city while she was in one of the stores buying some food which was now safely stored away in her knapsack.

Seeing the canal up ahead Fleur folded up the map before stowing it away in her knapsack. Eager to see the bridges, Fleur picked up the pace.

Chapter I: The Pirate Hunter K6Q2Skf

The sound of footsteps stepping over a wooden walk way could be heard, each step full of purpose. At the end stood a man with a blue jacket draped over his shoulders and a blue tri corner hat with golden rims sat atop his head of brown locks which curled at the ends by his square chin.

"Captain Rosslle?" a lowly Warrant Officer asked as he stood clothed in an open white shirt with short sleeves and a black flower print over the top right torso & shoulder.

Turning to look over Warrant Officer Jenson, Captain Rosslle exhaled as he twitched his lips and directed his cigar towards his right allowing the smoke to billow off in a different direction.

"We've discovered the ship of Jonti Noble."

Gazing through Jenson's soul and sending jolts of fear into him, Rosslle remained perfectly still waiting for a reaction from Jenson whom dropped the hand he was saluting with and opened his mouth to speak once again.

"What should we do sir?"

Turning his back on Jenson, Rosslle inhaled before he lifted his large metallic replacement hand and removed the cigar.

"We collect the ship and the fortune found within the cavern, then we apprehend whoever unearthed this discovery as I highly doubt it was one of us. Send out search parties to cover the entire cavern and block off the exits to anyone who isn't a Marine. We're going to find the one responsible for this and find out how they knew about this place."

Nodding Jenson turned and marched onward to give out the orders to the rest of the men. Looking over the caverns which loomed above, Rosslle waited to catch sight of the gentleman who had unearthed this great find and watch his men get to work.

Hiding atop the cavern behind a large rocky wall, Sully Kaemon the discovered and once former con artist, stood looking over the ship and soldiers below. He'd heard the orders given out by Captain Rosslle and knew this would be his best chance to escape now that the soldiers weren't all informed just yet. Motioning towards the left he unknowingly kicked a small pebble which dropped over the edge. Landing in the water below before Rosslle.

Sending out ripples, Rossle raised his head and peered above to see nothing but a simple rocky formation of the cavern. Reaching down with his good left hand, his fingers slid around the wooden stock of his specially made sawn off shotgun that sat within a specially crafted holster that sat upon his thigh.

Removing it and resting the barrel over his right hand, Rosslle prepared himself for the wrost as did Sully Kaemon the man with the powers over chain.

Chapter I: The Pirate Hunter GaasSpz

Whilst the sun beat down over the island and citizens wiped away the sweat from their brows only to reveal sweat patches beneath their armpits, the shade grew crowded and fountains drew short of relief. Sitting beneath trees, sun hats and dousing one another in ice water, the sun shone down over everyone with a harsh beam burning people a nice crisp brown or turning others a luscious lobster red.

Throughout the street a series of pick pocketers had been on loose. Sprinting through the streets dressed up in large robes covering their entire bodies & faces. These stopped people from finding out who they were as well as provided them with cover and freedom from the confines of restricting clothing.

Rushing past a group of nuns three of these pick pockets slipped their hands into a group of drunken men's pockets as they passed by and shoved the collection of wallets into their satchels. Within seven short seconds they'd picked up & pocketed 340 beli's worth. These men were professionals and they made sure to prove themselves as effective young thieves.

Turning the corner the first of the thieves caught sight of a woman who appeared very much out of place before suddenly an arm shot out before him and in seconds the leading thief was on his arse.

His followers stopped to see their leader on his arse and the man who stood in front of them was wielding a silver revolver in his right hand spinning it around on his index finger whist he sported a wide conical straw hat, poncho and brown trousers. Looking down over the gentleman on the floor he spoke up.

"Y'know, I remember the days when I used to be one of you boys, but then I wised up and realized a life of crime doesn't pay."

Realizing just who it was that had taken down their comrade the other two thieves turned to sprint in the opposite direction. Not only did the thieves recognize this man, but everyone did, jolting towards the alleys and for cover anywhere within the street all the way down to where Fleur was which was at least a good 50 yards away.

BANG
    BANG

Both thieves hit the floor with lead buried deep within their kneecaps, lying on the ground bleeding out and crying in agony the man in the poncho made his way over to them both and smirked. It was about time he brought down these three.

"You boys have some answering to do." the man in the poncho said as he holstered his revolver and whipped out a set of handcuffs. Hand cuffing the leader he'd knocked unconscious, the man in the poncho began escorting the group of thieves from the street whilst citizens around Fleur started to murmur words about the man in the poncho and how he was known to be deadly, dangerous and a man to avoid no matter who you were.

Standing beside Fleur one man looked as the three men who'd been brought down were carted off. Remaining still and seeming to hold anger within his own eyes and heart he watched clenching his fist tightly & breathing heavily.

Post by Izu Sun Aug 03, 2014 8:11 am

As the sun beat down on her, Fleur could feel beads of water forming on her forehead. She grabbed the hand held fan attached to her belt and snapped it open. Lazily she began fanning herself in an attempt to cool off. "Oh, if it gets any hotter out here I'll melt." She moaned. If she wasn't careful in heat like this, Fleur's words could become very true. So Fleur decided to seek out some shade before she visited the bridges.

Thats when Fleur noticed that people around her were beginning to head for cover. "Huh?" she muttered, before deciding to follow their lead. She stepped back a few paces so she was closer to a nearby alleyway. Following the gazes of the people around her, Fleur watched the man in the pancho fire two bullets to stop two of the robed people from escaping.

After the three were escorted away, Fleur sought an explanation. She heard the murmurs of the people around her. "Just who in the world was that?" she asked turning to the man beside her. "And why did everyone hide at the sight of him?"

Chapter I: The Pirate Hunter K6Q2Skf

Spreading out quickly the naval soldiers formed small search parties and each group took a different section. Watching one group of four heading West he watched them begin to enter the small walkways one at a time armed with rifles pointed ahead and swords sitting in their scabbards.

The second team made their way directly ahead and turned to the left to search the next large opening whilst the third group did the same except for searching the ship this time round as well as securing it for transportation. The fourth group were headed right for Sully though.

Climbing the shoddy stony staircase, Sully looked over his hands then towards the ledge where the group would be reaching. Taking a deep breath he kept a vigil watch over the ledge trying to think what his best choice would be, confronting them or sneaking by them.

Reaching the ledge the first of the group of five pointed his rifle straight ahead which was slightly to Sully's left. Gulping as the next arrived Sully had made his decision.

Leaping down from the ledge he just narrowly avoided detection as the third soldier reached the ledge. Crashing down, Sully created a series of chains from his body and directed them downwards so he could pin down Captain Rosslle and hopefully with his weight crashing down atop him, knock the bastard unconscious.

Smacking into him, Sully found the Captain hitting the ground hard and used his chains to pin the Captain down thoroughly, smiling as he looked at the captain, Sully could see he wasn't unconscious, but very much aware he'd been pinned down. Looking into Sully's eyes he opened his mouth wide as he shouted.

"ARREST THIS MAN!"

Leaping from the captain's body into the air with the air of his chains, Sully quickly made for the exit of which three guards stood beside raising their rifles.

Chinkle Chankle: Brawler Knight

From his body, chain mail armor coated him from head to toe, reaching out and coating him, Sully smirked as gun fire opened up in the form of the soldiers from above looking below and squeezing the triggers with hopes of catching him.

Watching the rifles before him raise, Sully launched himself towards his right followed by his left to avoid a series of bullets coming his way from the guards blocking the exit.

BANG

Feeling something slam into his back ridiculously hard, Sully continued running with a slight pain in his lower back, turning to have a quick glance he noticed the smoke billowing from Captain Rosslle's sawn off shotgun held in his outstretched left hand.

Reaching the first guard, Sully used a simple Chinkle Chankle: Chain Strike

Striking the first guard in the groin he dropped his rifle and reached for his crown jewels. Chinkle Chankle: Chain Strike The next chain met the neck of the second guard. Slightly piercing his neck he reached for his own throat struggling to breath and finally the last chain which sprung from Sully's hand wrapped around the third guards and Sully pulled on the chain dragging the guard into the ground.

Drawing the chains back, Sully was free out of the exit leaving behind soldiers of the navy within an old cavern. Looking back over the entrance he wished that he could block it up, but just didn't have the time.

The soldiers however were already sprinting towards the exit ready to arrest the man who'd jumped their Captain & discovered this treasure trove of Noble.

Chapter I: The Pirate Hunter GaasSpz

Listening to the woman question what had just happened further down the road the man who'd been watching without moving turned his back and walked from the street dressed in a similar attire to the thieves with nothing but pure anger surging throughout his body.

The man who Fleur had asked about the man looked at Fleur with shock.

"Have you been living under a rock or something? That's 'Angelo the Guardian Angel' the town's psychotic bounty hunter. He's been a huge help to this city, but he's dangerous. Not a man anyone should ever want to cross."

Nodding as the man stepped from his hiding spot another woman stepped out and looked towards Fleur.

"He's a menace who doesn't care about anyone else but himself!"

Another citizen stepped out from their hiding spot and angrily blurted out.

"If he doesn't care about us then why is he saving us?"

Within seconds more citizens had escaped their hiding spaces and were in a fully fledged argument over if Angelo really was good or bad. Shameful fact was he was a bounty hunter and the city's best one at that too as well as a dangerous opponent with what seemed to be ridiculously worrying abilities which no one had ever witnessed before.

Fleur smiled sheepishly by the shocked looks she had received for her question. "Sorry I didn't know. I only arrived in this city this morning." but by the time she managed to get a word in, the group had begun squabbling over if Angelo was good or bad. "You know, I'll just be on my way. Thanks for uh explaining that to me!" she added, ducking away from the crowd.

Walking away from the group, Fleur was left to her own thoughts. Crazy bounty hunter. Alright, guess I know who to avoid on the streets now. she thought flapping the fan a little faster. Gosh, I might just melt here and now. Better find some shade. Fleur's attention quickly shifted to searching out a shady spot to sit and cool off.

Chapter I: The Pirate Hunter K6Q2Skf

Bursting into the blinding light & heat that covered Brigton City, Sully was instantly stopped in place, it struck him like a wall of heat suddenly surrounding him. The sound of gun fire however was also a pretty strong incentive to keep him moving.

Back in the caverns the soldiers had split into two groups. A group to stay in the cavern and bring the ship back to the naval head quarters and a group led by Captain Rosslle himself to search the town for Sully and arrest him.

Finding his way down a dirt track into the town, Sully quickly placed foot in front of foot just to escape the marines who suddenly appeared out of the cavern and into the sun. Copying him as the wall of heat struck them, they slowed up which was just perfect for Sully.

Finding his feet slipping down the dirt track from the high up cliffs on the edge of the city, Sully could see the city before him, a vast beautiful metropolis. Soon he'd be just another citizen of Brigton. Feeling another painful sensation surging through his shoulder, Sully noticed he'd been hit with bullet. However his armor protected him, but also still hurt like hell bruising him.

Swarming the dirt track and making their way down as quickly as possible each and every soldier who gave chase was now spread all across the large incline, only a few using the dirt track whilst the rest just used the rest of the rocky incline to try and get down before Sully. Following each of them and now standing at the exit to the cavern after slowly making his way out was Captain Rosslle. His eye locked on to Sully Kaemon. Placing his cigar between his lips and inhaling, he removed it from his lips and allowed the smoke to swirl within his mouth before exhaling it via his nostrils.

He reached up to his right shoulder and ran his fingers over the small wound from being pinned down. Shaking his head, he looked at the blood that had been drawn.

"You'll be wishing you hadn't done that sonny. An eye for an eye and all that."

Chapter I: The Pirate Hunter GaasSpz

Breaking out into a slight fight there was suddenly a series of citizens swinging their arms and throwing whatever they could get their hands on at each other. Thankfully Fleur was no longer within the vicinity and nothing or no one of violent nature was in her way anymore. around the corner where there was plenty of shade from the porches, there was also a little something else that might interest her too.

All along the street there was small stalls of people cooking. This was Delicacy Avenue. The avenue of Brigton City where there was always some form of a delicacy to enjoy from hot to cold no matter the weather.

On the right there was a man wearing an upper class chef's attire holding a frying pan and shaking it around as the large pancake inside it spun around getting a nice even crispy burn to it all over. He reached into a small pot beside him and sprinkled it over the pancake and instantly it started to melt and over the pancake a caramel type liquid could be seen forming and being absorbed into the pancake.

Opposite him was a woman dressed up in clothing that looked like she'd just come from the gym and she seemed quite the expert with the knife as she chopped away furiously cutting up lettuce into tiny tiny pieces. Tilting her chopping board and allowing the cut up pieces of lettuce, carrot & what seemed to be white chocolate into a bowl she added water and quickly begun to break it all up and mix it with a wooden spoon. Soon it appeared to become a mess of white with vibrant green & orange colours popping out occasionally.

Further down an old man dressed in a robe with a conical straw hat sat down with his head dipped as he slowly placed a spatula over a burger patty and the sound of sizzling could be heard. The entire avenue stunk of amazing stenches from the good to the mind bendingly wonderful.

Crowds were formed around each and everyone of the stalls as people waited for a delightful treat of each of the recipes from the cooks.

As she rounded the corner, a mingling of different food based aromas hinted at what Fleur might find; however, she was still delighted at the sight of all the food stalls. "Wow," she breathed, her eyes lighting up. "This must be Delicacy Avenue! Oh, I don't know where to start! She looked back and forth from one cook to the next. Everything smelt so good, and looked tasty. This was the kind of place Fleur had hoped to find.

"I guess I'll start there, and work my way around." She quickly joined the crowed surrounding the chef making the pancake like dishes. The hand fan was forgotten until she felt cool beads of water forming on her skin. Quickly Fleur began fanning herself once more as she waited to be able to talk with the chef.

Chapter I: The Pirate Hunter K6Q2Skf

Reaching the large open city of Brigton and walking through the streets with beads of sweat rolling down his face, Sully looked left then right, then finally he looked down an alleyway where he could see the open doors to a large open bar which put a smile on his face. They'd expect him to be continuing ahead and not turning and heading a totally different direction.

Running down the alleyway to his left Sully narrowly avoided the soldiers who charged down the street Sully had been heading down. Three of them ran past delicacy avenue and on wards down Jameson street in search of the man with a grey jumper & cyan hair.

Stumbling in through the open bar doors, Sully gained all eyes on him and stood up straightening himself up before he wiped the sweat from his face and join the large men who sat at the bar. Looking towards the bar keep then the larger men, Sully gulped. He wasn't frightened of them, but more shocked at their size and muscular stature. Like vikings.

Catching the bar keep's eye Sully smiled.

"Could I get a drink?"

"That all depends."

"On?"

"What you want" the barkeep replied with a playful grin.

Sighing feeling the barkeep might've kick him out, Sully looked over the various drinks within the fridges before he settled on one he recognized. A large ice blue bottle with a penguin on it.

"Could I get an Igluu."

Nodding the barkeep lifted a bottle and cracked off the lid with a bottle opener before handing it to Sully who reached into his pockets for the change he had which was minuscule. Handing it over Sully smiled awkwardly at the barkeep who took the money and slipped it into the till.

Lifting the drink and sipping from it, Sully looked around, no one seemed to have any interest in him and that was a good thing. He just wanted to get off this island and away from that marine Captain Rosslle.

Stepping in through the open doors, was the man who'd just witnessed his brothers in arms brought down by the mad man Angelo. Joining the man at the bar the larger men stepped back allowing him to reach the bar. Whoever this man was he seemed to inspire fear into the bigger men as they all made a hasty retreat.

Looking towards Sully as he didn't move the man in the robes spoke.

"Care to move, I must speak with the barkeep."

"Then speak, don't mind me."

"I'd rather you leave the bar."

"Look, I've just come here for a nice simple drink, can't you two just talk elsewhere or pretend I'm not here."

"If your wish is not to be here then I can help with that." the thief blurted out in a poisonous voice. Removing a small sword known as the Rat's Fang the thief placed the knife against Sully's neck to which without noticing Sully used Chinkle Chankle: Brawler Knight

"Now please!"

Looking back at the thief with fear surging through his body and the blade pressing against his neck Sully reached for his bottle of igluu and removed himself from the stool. Placing his knife back beneath his cloak the thief turned to the barkeep.

"The traitors taking us in one by one, he's looking for our hideout."

"I'll let Marius know, he cannot keep doing this to us."

"Its that Commander Lightwood, she's behind all this."

"How?"

"I don't know yet, but I'm trying to figure it out. All my men who were helping find out have been brought in, so its up to me now."

"Stay safe brother."

"And you."

As the crowd allowed Fleur in to watch the chef he quickly finished off a batch and started to slide each new pancake onto the stack just before himself and the crowd. There were dozens of plastic plates sitting just on the edge of the table each with a napkin & plastic fork on each one.

Looking at the crowd, the chef smiled.

"Help yourselves to the pancakes and remember if you wish to find out how to make these Ceramic Pancakes as I call them you can buy my cookery book explaining how to make these and many many more amazing recipes."

The ceramic pancakes were named this because although they were pancakes, they felt hard as if they coated in tree sap. Still the same colour as tree sap the slightly hardened thin coating was just pure hardened caramel to give a much sweeter flavour to the entire pancake.

Beside the table was a nice small water cooler with plenty of plastic cups to use.

Charging down the avenue were the soldiers on the hunt for Sully Kaemon, as they charged down the avenue looking for him they knocked over one or two people who muttered angrily trying not to be heard. Others helped these few who were knocked over to their feet and they all shook their heads.

It was pretty clear the navy in these parts weren't the nicest of people.

Snapping the fan shut, Fleur let it fall to her side. She got a hold of one of the plates and pancakes. Taking a plastic fork she carefully cut a piece away from the pancake. Using the fork to pick it up, Fleur shut her eyes as she placed the piece of pancake in her mouth. She chewed slowly, allowing herself to savor the sweet flavor. The sweetness of the carmel complimented that of the pancake. Fleur couldn't help but smile after she swallowed.

"These Ceramic Pancakes are amazing! How much is this cookbook you mentioned?" Fleur asked the chef. Her attention drifted for a moment when the marines came through knocking people over. First there are crazy bounty hunters and now rude marines. What next? Flying pigs? Anyways, with him offering the cookbook my job gets easier! I don't even have to ask about the recipe! Fleur's thoughts took over as she returned her attention to the chef.

Chapter I: The Pirate Hunter K6Q2Skf

Watching the man leave after a confusing conversation, Sully made his way back to his feet and towards the bar. With his drink in hand he raised it to drink from the bottle when fingers wrapped around his wrist dragging him from the bar into the streets.

Stumbling out spilling his drink over the floor Sully found himself outside in the middle of the street with a half empty bottle of Igluu and four naval soldiers surrounding him. Frozen for a second he stepped backwards towards the bar's door.

"Your under arrest."

"For what?" Sully asked in a tone that stunk of annoyance.

"Association with the notorious Pirate Jonti Noble of the West Blue."

"Jonti who?" Sully asked confused as he'd never heard of such a name.

"Don't play stupid with us." the leading soldier Mandrid spoke as he stepped forward with his hands open reaching for Sully to place the cuffs on him.

Intoxicated Imp

Whipping out his lighter as he regurgitated the Igluu he'd been drinking, Sully spat it towards Mandrid. Lighting the fuel that spewed out from between his lips, Sully watched as Mandrid went up in flames and his comrades stepped back realizing they were messing with someone who actually knew how to fight. Gulping the group watched as Mandrid rushed off attempting to put himself out.

Chinkle Chankle: Octopus

From Sully's body chains had begun to hang. Clanking against one another each soldier stared on in shock not sure what was going on or what to expect.

"No body brings in Sully Kaemon" Sully blurted out as the chains from his body rose.

Chinkle Chankle: Pendulum

Coiling the chains that came from his body, Sully launched off eight large tightly coiled balls made of stainless steel chains. Slamming into the marines around him and knocking them clean off of their feet the chains all were drawn back into his body and looking around Sully started to realize more about himself and his new found powers.

Jonti Noble was right, the powers granted from that fruit really would give him powers beyond his belief. Taking this chance to run, Sully started to make his way from the unconscious & wounded naval soldiers. As he stepped into another alleyway which was rather dark & dank a figure landed before him, both shoulders were gripped tightly and his back slammed into one of the walls of the alleyway. The face of who ever this was however he could not see.

Chapter I: The Pirate Hunter GaasSpz

Watching as one woman seemed to love his pancakes more so than the others and asked straight away about the recipe book, chef Marcus, LeManduex smiled.

"For you? Five beli and a kiss perhaps?" he asked as he ran his fingers over the end of his mustache. Typical chef, he was just like most other male chefs, general all round perverts. The rest of the crowd continued to enjoy his pancakes whilst the others made their way to the other cooks in the avenue enjoying their delicacy's.

One thing the chef hadn't mentioned however was how some of the ingredients needed for allot of his meals albeit were available, they were very hard to get hold of, especially in this city. Sadly this was the only city where the ingredients could be found.

"A Kiss? Thats a steep price, would you mind if I looked through the book before I decide?" Fleur asked with a smile, although on the inside she cringed. Ugh, why are the majority of the men in the cooking profession such perverts? she wondered. Her reasoning for asking to see the book, was so she could be certain they'd be good recipes and not all variations of the same thing.

If he refuses to let me look first I'll move on, the others around here are bound to have their own books too. she thought, not wanting to have to give the man a kiss at all. Plus they might not charge kisses like this pervert. Reaching down, Fleur grabbed the hand-held fan and snapped it back open before beginning to fan herself lazily.

Chapter I: The Pirate Hunter K6Q2Skf

Looking towards the man in black, Sully felt his heart beating wildly. Fear overwhelmed him as shock slapped him in the face. A voice came from the man who held him against the wall.

"How did you do that?"

"Do what?"

"Don't act like you've no idea what I'm talking about, you know very well I want to know about the chains you sprung froth from your body."

"Honestly I'm not quite sure."

"Did you eat a fruit recently?"

Questioning why he wanted to know about a power and now the fruit, Sully's brain started to think about the fruit he'd found at Jonti Noble's cavern.

"Well, y'know, gotta have my five a day." he said jokingly before the man's hands loosened on him and the man stepped back from him.

"That fruit you ate was a devil fruit, a fruit possessed by a demon which has now granted you a power unlike anything I've ever seen before. Where did you find this fruit?"

"In a cavern."

Hearing the words that came from Sully's lips the man smiled and his white pearly teeth were exposed. Stepping forth from the darkness he revealed his face to be the man who'd threatened him in the bar earlier.

"You must take me there."

Chapter I: The Pirate Hunter GaasSpz

With the question and disgusted expression on her face about kissing and looking through the book, the chef nodded.

"Of course such a fine lady such as oneself may do so and please ma lady enjoy it too. I think you'll find such recipes such as Pâtes minuit simply enchanting and Graine pourpre strangely satisfying."

Returning to his pancakes, the chef poured the next stream of the mix into the pan and begun to work on his next batch, this time he would slice up some strawberrys alongside the pancakes fry them slightly as he doused them in caramel before slicing them up and serving the pancakes with sliced up carmel covered strawberry on top.

Smiling as the first three came out and were gobbled up in an instant he looked behind him into his bag of what seemed to be secret ingredients and frowned.

"I'm sorry to say people, this will be the last pancakes for the day as I seem to be running low on my secret ingredient."

Fleur smiled slightly and picked up one of the cookbooks. She flipped through it, but she still thought the price was steep for these recipes. Five Beli was actually a pretty decent price; however, Fluer just didn't want to kiss him. Now I just need to turn him down politely. she thought going over what she would say in her mind. Once she had a decent idea she closed the book and set it back with the others.

"I'm sorry for wasting your time, but I'd like to think it over before I make the purchase." She spoke calmly with an apologetic smile, "Maybe if your still around later I'll come buy a cookbook!" With that said, Fleur turned to leave.

All through out that small scene, her hand with the fan hadn't stopped moving. Fleur had no desire to have to explain why she was melting to anyone. Taking a few steps away from the chefs stand, she looked around at the other stands, deciding where to go next.

Chapter I: The Pirate Hunter K6Q2Skf

As the man mentioned returning to the cavern, Sully shook his head immediately.

"We can't go back there."

"Why not?"

"The Marines are all over it."

"Right. Then you have to come with me."

"Why?" Sully asked in a rather defensive tone.

"The fruit you've eaten belonged to my leader. He hid it with his belongings on this island to keep it safe from the Navy until a day when it would be safe to resurface. he did it to protect his crew. Now I need you to come back to the camp with me so we can find out the location of his treasury, plan our attack and resurface."

"I can tell you where it is."

"No, you need to come with us. I need to prove it to the others and you know the insides better than anyone else so you can inform us of the current situation inside."

Grabbing Sully's wrist the man started to run pulling Sully along with him. Realizing the man wasn't going to let go he just followed.

Chapter I: The Pirate Hunter GaasSpz

Whilst Izu declined his offer the cook returned to his own business, not wishing to put forth any further offers, she wouldn't know what she was missing out on and it would be her own fault.

Whilst Izu made her way from the stall to another a large flame flared up towards the crowd and the sun continued to beat down harshly. The street only became much hotter.

One of the members of the crowd looked towards Izu noticing a new comer to the audience. Noticing her hand melting the young boy's face dropped. Leaping back in shock and horror he screamed.

"MONSTER! SHE'S MELTING!" catching the attention of everyone else, the crowds quickly jumped aside to find themselves staring at a woman waving a fan whose hand & forearm seemed to be ever so slightly watery. Clearly not a normal sight, the cook & even the crowd all took steps to move further from the frightening scene.

Words begun to slip from their lips.

"Uh, what's wrong with her?!" and more phrases questioning her melting rose into the air. Small frights like this would not only draw crowds, but often mobs too and in a matter of seconds Izu would be surrounded by innocent terrified citizens staring at something they'd never seen before, something impossible.

Fleur flinched when a kid cried out about her melting hand. Oh great, I guess it won't go unnoticed. Looking back and forth, Fleur was aware that this situation wasn't favorable. I've got to calm everyone down, better explain the melting hand. She hadn't wanted to explain it, but she had no choice.

Ignoring the whispers going around she let her fan fall back to her side, and held her hands up, "Please calm down, I'm no threat, I just happen to be melting. With that said, I'll just be going now." Fleur reached for the fan again. Snapping it back open she resumed fanning herself. The fact that she had devil fruit powers, didn't come up in her little speech.

I have got to get out of this heat and this crowd. Fleur thought, looking around for a way to slip away from the crowd. She didn't like how it seemed to grow, as more people were attracted to stare at her and her melting hand. Noticing a gap in the crowd, she moved her feet and started walking towards it.

Chapter I: The Pirate Hunter K6Q2Skf

Sully found himself taken quickly to a bar by the man who banged on the back door to this bar. Slamming his fist into the wooden door it slid open and quickly Sully was dragged in and the door shut behind him.

Looking at the man who let got of his wrist Sully finally spoke up.

"So what is this place?"

"Its our hideout."

"And who're you?"

"The thieves guild. Also once members of the notorious pirate crew ruled by Jonti Noble."

"Right and you guys want to reclaim Jonti's belongings and become pirates again?"

"Exactly."

"But why did you become thieves?"

"Because its what we're good at."

Understanding all of this Sully continued to follow the man down the stairs and into a large open room lit by candles. Looking around at the people who were taking shelter, Sully followed the man who'd brought him down towards a desk surrounded by four other men in cloaks.

As Sully joined him he could see the looks on everyone's faces just glaring at him and felt a little awkward being there.

"We have found it." the man mentioned to the other four gentlemen around the desk. Their faces shifted from the map on the desk and rose to look towards Sully & their college.

Chapter I: The Pirate Hunter GaasSpz

Watching as the woman started to explain herself, the crowd still stared in shock & horror. Stepping back they'd press their backs against the walls of buildings. Petrified at the appearance of a melting hand their jaws had dropped.

As she made her way quickly from the crowd a gentlemen had been watching from the crowd. Tipping his newly acquired cowboy hat on his head so his eyes could follow the woman the gentleman reached for his pockets planting his hands into them.

Pushing off from the wall behind him, he made his way through the crowd slowly and easily.

Arriving against a wall the alleyway curved into, the gentleman waited knowing full well that with the commotion of a sudden melting woman and gasps of shock & horror he'd not be noticed specially with all of the noise and his quite footsteps on the dusty ground.

Peering into a ladies glasses he caught sight of down the alleyway to see Fleur fanning herself. Smirking, the man waited. This woman seemed interesting and if she was what he thought then he could be in luck for something good.

Once free of the crowd, Fleur walked considerably quicker. Disapointment bubbled inside her when the woman realized, she wouldn't be able to go back. No matter how much she tried to blend in, all the cooks that set up booths on that street would recognize her and everyone would end up frightened. Oh, and I only got to visit one stand! I didn't even buy the cookbook! Fleur thought.

After a few minutes of walking, Fleur found a more secluded spot to stop and catch her breath. All the while, her hand with the fan never ceased movement. I'll have to sit inside somewhere for now, I can't just go around melting and freaking everyone out. As she thought, Fleur took in her surroundings, hoping a coffee shop or something would be nearby.

The young chef was unaware she had been followed out of the crowd.
