Night time, a time when Miu could leave the forest and explore the strange Village, when the normally crowded streets were empty, where she could look in at all the strange and shiny things with her child like wonder. She loved seeing the colorful toys in the toy shops, staring at the sparkling jewels on display and sometimes, when ever she could, she would sneak over to the village bakery and marvel at all the baked goods.

She could almost touch them, almost taste them! Cakes, cookies and breads of many kinds sat before her, just a thin sheet of glass stopped her well...that and a lack of anything to pay with or trade for. Oh to be able to bake bread again, or a big chocolate cake! It wasn't easy to make them without an oven and almost impossible over an open flame. Oh to be able to eat them again! She couldn't help but drool slightly at the thought of it, her eyes sparkling as she daydreamed.

But sadly her beloved dreaming was cut short by the sound of footsteps. She turned to see some women turning the corner chatting grocery bags in their arms, returning home with dinner most likely. They both stopped at the sight of Miu and for a few moments stared at her.

But then Miu took a step forward hope shone in her eyes from behind her mask but she hadn't even gotten out a soft hello when one of them suddenly snapped out of her shocked daze to let out a very loud very high pitched scream. Miu in shock stumbles back and started to try and explain as best as a child like her could.

But again she barely gotten two words out when the both of them screamed loudly together "Fox Sprit! Fox Spirit in the Village! Protect the children!"

Miu took another step back before turning and running, already lights where being turned on in houses as mothers checked children's beds, husbands opening doors many with guns and other deadly weapons in their hands ready to protect their families. Miu gave out a shriek as a bullet hit the ground where her leg had been not even a moment before.

Already she had to change directions when her path was blocked. All the while tears fell from her eyes not understanding why they hated her so. She had never hurt anyone, always left food or pelts as payment for anything she took. So why? Why did they treat her like she was a monster? Everyone always treated her like a monster...

Roland was finally in the North blue. He has been hear before but haven't had the time to keep directions around. It wasn't his favorite sea you know. It was night time a time where if Roland went into his Phoenix form he would glow like a light bulb in complete darkness. He stepped off the stolen row boat.

It was stolen from a marine ship and hey found out he was on board. So he had to fly with it a bit. It was a chore but he soon was far enough from them that he could drop it and change back to human form. He found this island and seeing how he doesn't like to sail by himself at night(Death wish) He decided to spent to night here.

He wasn't going to reveal himself so he just walked through the town. Looking around for a place to stay. But no one was around. He then heard a scream but being a pirate it was none of his business. He just kept walking. That was until a woman yelled out something interesting. He changed into his Phoenix form and kind of lit up the town. He swooped in. Making everyone stop. He landed still in his Phoenix form and said.

What is going on here??? And why is this girl crying?

He knew it wasn't in his place to question other people business but they were firing at a young girl. Something must of been up from them to think of something like that. For what special reason who they need to do such a thing. Now Roland was talking all high and mighty when he just needed a place to sleep. Well since he spoken and showed up in this form he can't just fly off. And he was getting tired.

I need someone to explain this. Now!

Miu had stopped running and turned at stare at the talking bird before her,the blue flames that covered it from head to toe,yet she could not feel any heat coming off it. But to see such beauty in the flames made her heart skip a beat and her eyes sparkle. Not since that fated night had she seen fire so beautiful.

But the joy she felt didn't last long,as after the villages backed away at first many slowly rose their guns. "NO!"

She yelled before taking a mouthful of fluid and lit a match making her finger tip look like it had let on fire and sprayed the liquid out causing it to catch fire making many back up as a jet of fire took up the small street. But not before a bullet grazed her leg causing her to flinch.

Before she gave the fire a chance to disappear she turned and attempted to push the giant bird towards the forest "Go Go Go!" She says while struggling to put weight on her now injured leg, red liquid flowing down it onto the ground.

Roland found it funny how a human girl was protecting a phoenix. A particular Phoenix that can regenerate. Even he could regen he would technically revive from his "ashes". But no need he bowed his head and said

Ill fly us both to the forest. You just need to lead the way.

He also wondered why these people were so stupid to believe that this girl is going something wrong. So wrong that they would take up arms against her. They would pull the trigger.

Whats the reason they are shooting at you young girl?

Roland said in his most majestic voice ever x3

Miu couldn't help but give out a slight squee at the tough of being able to ride a phoenix. If she hadn't been wearing her mask it would of died of a heart attack from the pure adorable joy on her face. "Just go to that humongous tree" She says pointing towards a towering tree that reached high into the sky above many of the other trees in the forest.

"There is a clearing there."

She was quiet for a moment before speaking softly a clear sadness in her voice. "Because Miu is a monster..." It was a soft answer, one barely being heard as another gunshot rang out.

Roland quickly flew up as the bullets just flew through him. A clearing huh? He almost went vertical trying to get the girl away from the bullets. He opened his wings just as he was right at the middle of the moon. His flames spreading out and making the scene like a movie. He saw the tree and began to fly down to it. But then the girl said something intriguing. Hmm a monster?

Little girl your lucky I found you because I like monsters

Roland said making a smirk. He was almost there to the tree and he thought it was about time he reveled himself but that was only until he could trust her. Being a pirate and all he didn't have any problems killing s child it was just to pirate life. He just didn't care. Well he had people he cared for but this girl wasn't on of them. She just looked innocent enough for him to rescue her.

Miu clung to the giant bird letting out a shriek of excitement as they took off, this was the most fun she had in a long time. she waited until they had landed before planting her feet down softly on the ground stumbling a bit as her injured leg almost gives out.

All around them a close solid wall blocked in the clearing leaving only the space to pass through at one side.

A log sat near a fire pit like a seat while a pond reflected the mood like a piece of solid glass,a small waterfall flowing into it. In the very center off all of this stood the towering tree standing tall and proud in the night sky.

Miu turns and bows slightly to the Phoenix "Thank you for helping Miu...even thought you had no reason to."
