Mistaken Identity

Post by Docile on Mon Mar 23, 2015 4:39 am

North Blue, Balugaa Isle::.
Summer Season::.
10:32AM::.

With the sun rising high above the clouds, a gentle breeze blowing through the town and cries of joy filling the air all throughout the town. The festival of the dance is currently underway. Floats of various dances drift on by down the street with people from all over the world dancing on each float. Filled with beauty, music & bright colours, confetti, smiles & sunshine fills the streets. The birds sing in the tree to the rhythmic tune whilst children dance with their favorite girls. Parents spend the day drinking away as special drinks and offers are on on all the favorites. From Igluu to the good ole classic grog. Washing away all of life's problems the festival of the dance is a chance to shake your booty & drink, drink, drink.

Whilst the cheers are thrown around like yesterday's paper and the town is deeply indulged in the excitement of the festival, the Naval Head Quarters on the outskirts which is rather sparsely guarded due to the sheer fact of the festival which requires much more protection from the Navy, stands dead still & quiet. With a woman at reception doodling away & a few other high ranking Marines who don't care for the festival discussing matters of importance, there are also a few in the courtyard training for further combat pursuits and the occasional guarding the prisons in the basement.

Sitting in the cell Koto knows full well he has the power to escape as these morons clearly weren't smart enough to check and see if he was a devil fruit user. Shame for them really as he is one and knows the perfect way to escape using his powers. Although he's not really a pirate. But he wouldn't complain about being one. Looking through the bars and feeling the tight grip on his wrists Koto's belly rumbles. It's been a good while since he's eaten.

Looking left & then finally right Koto sighs.

This is going to be so freakin' easy!

Now on his feet and still ridiculously short he looks through the bars and grins. Its time to break out the only way he knows how. Koto begins to jog in a circle. Slowly picking up speed he keeps jogging soon enough he'll be free from the prison and once he's free he'll just keep on running. Its hard to stop something that's already started especially if it just keeps picking up momentum.

"Sayonara suckas!" he mutters to himself quietly as he picks up the pace and starts to run just a little bit faster.

Running now at full speed he begins to pick up the pace moving past his fastest on to the build up. Soon he'll be charging through the prison bars like a rampant bull and won't be stopping anytime soon. Koto has a desire to not just get out of here but see the festival, see the world and maybe one day see the One Piece. That would be something pretty special.

Re: Mistaken Identity

Taki drifted along the sea, she’d been swimming for most of yesterday and almost throughout the night, so she was taking a nap. The blues’ fish weren’t as.. Overall vicious as their Grand Line variants, so all she’d have to deal with would be the odd shark or sea serpent. She could’ve taken residence in some sea cave, but he found a current that took her along in the direction in which she was going anyway.

Really, she didn’t know where she was going, as long as it was away from the Grand Line, it didn’t matter. She was kind of half-asleep, though still tired. She’d only really properly rest her mind once she found an island. She’d taken a liking to fruit, and that’s what she felt like having rather than fish. Though, she did have to massacre half a school of carp to keep her strength up.

She soon heard the sound of music, she opened one eye and looked in the direction of it, an island was ahead. She supposed there was some kind of festival going on, and there was an ominous Marine building on the island as well, they built them so large it was the first thing someone could see, then again they probably built them with that in mind.

If she made an effort, she could get there in no time, then again in all probability the whole place’d be set in uproar if she was seen, an eleven foot tall fishman. Humans. She did see a fair spots of white, so maybe the festival emptied the marine building of.. Marines, she could just go and ransack their supplies. She delve deeper into the water, swimming toward the side to where the marine building was on the island. As soon as she got close, she swam quickly upwards and rocketed out of the sea, hopefully landing near the entrance before casually attempting to walk in. Upon seeing the receptionist, she would squeeze into the building and try to take away any kind of communication. If it would be a den den mushi, she would gently pick it up and place it onto the ceiling, where hopefully it’d stay there, if it was more technological, she’d just rip the wire out while she searched for food, ignoring the woman.

Picking up the pace Koto's cheeks drew out a large smile. It was time for him to break out of this little prison cell and bring the walls crashing down with him. Charging into the prison bars Koto held his body turned to the right with his arms dragging behind.

Clenching tightly & using his handcuffs to protect his hands Koto quickly reached the bars and swung his hands into the bars. Smacking them with the cuffs on his hands the momentum rushed through his body towards his hands breaking one bar out of place. As that one bar shot out from its position the bars beside it bent a little.

Stepping back with a grin Koto looked at the gap he'd created. It wasn't huge, but it was enough. The bar clattered on the floor and quickly caught attention from the Naval soldiers who were guarding the prisons.

Squeezing out through the gap Koto quickly made a point of grabbing the bar he'd knocked out. Holding it in both hands he he grinned. It was time to get out of this shit hole and into the real world. There was a world to explore out there and that was what he wanted to see.

Rēru Rēru: Red Flag

Charging down the corridor at a speed that could only be described as incredible. Koto lowered the bar in his hands as the two naval soldiers came rushing his way.

Smacking the bar into their knee caps he not only cracked their knee caps due to his speed, but also knocked the two flat on their faces.

Face planting the ground Koto grinned as he reached the large steely door behind them.

Slamming it shut he jammed the bar in place between the door's locks which were often held in place with a large wooden plank. With a metal bar they wouldn't be getting out and neither would the other prisoners who'd been cheering & asking to be let free too.

"Stupid bastards." Koto blurted out as he chuckled to himself. The damp air of the dreary underground made him feel sick. It was time he got on to ground level & found himself a one way ride off of this island.

The sheer sight of such a gargantuan creature sent shivers down the spine of the receptionist. Screaming as the snail phone was stuck to the ceiling she continued to do so unable to do anything else or so it seemed.

However the scream did attract some attention from the near by corridors & offices. From the stairwell two naval soldiers came rushing down.

As they caught sight of the monster that had entered they stared up in shock. Trembling the two looked up questioning why they'd answered the scream.

Having left their weapons in the armory like all Marines should the two were completely defenseless.

"GET OUT OF MY HEAD QUARTERS YOU POOR EXCUSE FOR A DOMINO!" a loud burly voice screamed from further down the corridor.

Following the order was a flurry of small throwing knives aimed for the dead center of Taki the huge fish woman. As the knives shot over head of the naval soldiers footsteps were heard of a man walking between them both.

"Get out of here you two" the next order fell from his lips with such confidence.

Stopping in front of them was Marine Lieutenant Kaputz. 6ft 11 buzz cut brown hair with an X shaped cut across his left cheek. A block like jaw he stood looking at Taki with disgust. Standing before her wearing a navy blue shirt with two black bandoleers with at least 20 throwing knife holsters on each one and a pair of white trousers and black cowboy boots with a pattern embedded into them he stood eyeing up Taki.

"I just don't know what it is with you freaks. You just don't seem to get the message. FUUUCCCCKKK OFFFF!"

Pulling on his black finger-less gloves with reinforced knuckles he begun to clench his fists & stretch ready for a fight.

Although it did upset her head, since she was a little sleep-deprived, Taki ignored the receptionist as she started to munch on some of the food in the bowl. It tasted a little weird,  it felt like they were burning her mouth a bit though, so she lifted the bowl and swallowed them all, rather than having to go through the pains of crunching them. The ceiling was high, so she didn’t have to crouch or anything, she turned to see two marines staring at her. She turned toward the other entrance to a corridor, but halfway she felt a few prickles on her forearm.

She looked at it, a fair few knives were stuck in, drawing a little blood, though they weren’t in any particular luck of going deep. In fact, she doubted that they’d be able to hurt much if they hit her directly to the front, but then again she wasn’t a doctor. She turned again to find a human taller than the other two looking at her and shouting. “..What’s a domino?” she’d ask, before hurling the bowl toward his chest like a Frisbee. Even though she was hungry and tired, she wasn’t in any particularly bad mood, she was mild if anything else. She had a good few minutes until her hulking chest caused her back pain, so she didn’t throw it with much of her strength, just enough to hopefully knock him over and give her time to find the kitchen.

As soon as she threw the bowl, she’d beat it into the corridor, having to move on her sides to fit through. She’d look around for a sign as to where.. Anything was. She ignored the knives in her forearm, maybe by the time she was finished she could count the number of things stuck in her.

Freedom was just beyond a few more doors & possibly a few more Marines too. Arriving at the door that led unto the stairwell Koto found himself staring down two more soldiers. Both standing at the door.

Both armed with cutlasses they looked towards Koto and his hands which were cuffed. leaving enough distance between himself & the two guards Koto prepared himself for the conflict that would ensue.

"Stay where you are right now scumbag!"

"I could say the same to you pricks."

Removing their cutlasses both soldiers took on a much more dangerous stance ready for a fight. Slowly making their way closer to Koto they kept their stance & position.

Rēru Rēru: Falling Sun

Charging towards both of the soldiers Koto quickly picked up his fast running pace and the pace would only increase the longer he was running for. However due to the short distance it wasn't likely he'd pick up an amazing speed. Just before he reached the two soldiers Koto leapt into the air throwing himself into a roll as he curled up tight like a ball.

The two soldiers had expected him to continue into them and swung their blades down hoping to slice him up like a cucumber. Failing miserably their blades dug into the ground and bounced off. Looking up the two were met with a heel each to the back of their heads carrying forth all of the momentum that little Koto could bring forth.

Slamming into the ground one of the two soldiers was knocked unconscious by the sheer force of his face smacking into the ground.

The other tried to pick himself up but felt a foot digging into his ribs. Grunting in pain he felt the next shock to his system as a foot to the face. Knocking out a few good teeth & the soldier himself Koto crouched down & started to search the soldier's pockets for a key.

Removing his wallet among a few other things he found a set of keys. After trying four of the keys he found the key to the door and opened it up. Making his way through & locking the door behind himself Koto pocketed the keys. They may come in handy later.

Shooting towards him like a Frisbee the bowl that Taki had thrown was spinning through the air perfectly in line coming for him. As the bowl came closer Kaputz removed one of his throwing knives quickly and cast it towards the bowl. Shattering it upon contact the shards all dispersed either side of Kaputz. Looking at Taki grinning he reached for three more knives in each hand. He was ready to bring her to her knees & slit her throat.

With his arms crossed & the knives like claws he was ready to use his favored close combat technique.

Lion Paw: Savage Dice

Charging towards her and mainly her right thigh Kaputz knew he could pull it off, bring down the monster who'd entered his home & banish her kind for good. Make himself a feared Marine.

As he closed the distance his grin grew bigger with the thoughts of what he'd accomplish.

Leaping from the ground he felt the strength in his legs fail him miserably as he was pulled back to the ground by the scruff of his neck. Hitting the floor & dropping his knives Kaputz groaned.

Opening his eyes he caught sight of an all too familiar face.

Captain Haggard.

Standing over him with his shaved head, brown beard & shades Haggard shook his head. His torso was covered in a four button faded blue waistcoat which sat over his hairy torso. His muscular arms held a few freckles over them & his hands had dirty wraps around them. He looked as if he was an avid bare knuckle boxer. And in his spare time he was. Around his waist a brown belt. His trousers were grey coloured and sat on his feet were a pair of old boots he'd had since his first day in the Marines. Black with steel toe caps & a pair of red dice on the outside of the right and a a fan of the four aces in a pack of cards on the other.

"You turn you're back for one second and what do you find? Your subordinate in a fight. Oh no wait. That's just me." he said looking down at Kaputz.

"She was trashing the place." Kaputz blurted out getting to his feet.

"You're the only one I saw trashing the place. Now get out of here. Get your knives & go. 25 laps around the courtyard. And don't think you can cheat me Kaputz Noah's out back and I'll be asking him if you've done what I've asked."

Sighing and reluctantly turning and taking his leave Kaputz was on his way to endure his punishment. Turning to Taki Haggard smiled.

"Sorry about that. He's usually a good lad. So what was it you came here for dear?" he asked Taki curiously not caring what she looked like or even was in the slightest even if everyone else did.

Taki was surprised as she heard the guy shatter the blade, turning away from the doorway, she saw him land on his face as someone grabbed his legs out from underneath him. She tensed her forearm, and the knives popped out, a little bloody. She scratched the back of her head awkwardly as the man lectured the knife thrower. She kicked the three or five knives toward the guy, gently however so it didn’t look like an act of attempted murder.

She watched the lieutenant balefully as he he went on his way, before turning to the Captain sheepishly. “Food, I guess.” she’d say, shrugging. On cue, her stomached rumbled. “Constant swimming has eroded my manners. Sorry.” she’d say shortly. She wasn’t really quite sure what to do in the situation. She’d been expecting the place to be at least somewhat empty, but she’d already seen five people. Then again, she should’ve expected some diligent people.

Maybe she should’ve instead pretended she was a part of the festivities. Maybe that would’ve worked.

Arriving on the ground level Koto quickly inhaled taking in a huge whiff of fresh air. It was nice. Stepping out into the corridor he smiled. It was time to get going and get off this fucking island. Walking over towards the wall where the signs were stuck up he read over them quickly. Spotting one directing him to the reception he grinned.

Making his way down the hallways quickly trying to avoid being caught out. Koto hadn't yet realized that there wasn't many marines at the head quarters but it was quickly becoming apparent. As he walked past the toilets he caught sight of a disgruntled marine walking off into the courtyard with knives all over him. Sighing as the marine ignored him Koto pushed on further down the corridor.

Arriving at the reception he arrived in time to see a large creature & some marine walking off down another hallway. He heard something about food. Shrugging his shoulders Koto sprinted past the receptionist & out the door. Continuing with the same speed he sprinted down the street away from the head quarters. It was time to get outta here.

The music of the town was enticing and with all the drinking, dancing, gambling & everything else Koto was feeling pretty lucky seeing how he'd just gotten out of prison. Smiling he thought about the bets he could make and how much money he could make. He could probably even win a ship off of someone.

As he arrived a the town Koto sat down behind a tree trying to think. He needed to get these cuffs off & get hold of a ship. The best ways to do this would be by getting his hands on something heavy or sharp or picking these locks & then either stealing or buying a ship but seeing as he had no money stealing was probably the best option.

At the mention of food Haggard smirked. He knew the naval reaction to fair treatment to a fish and knew that meant the two couldn't head to the dining hall. However with the festive going on in the town they could head into the town. It was his lunch time anyway.

"Follow me. We can't eat in the dinning hall, but we can take a small walk into town and enjoy the food down there. It'll be better than here anyway with the festival going on."

Leading Taki towards the entrance Haggard hoped she would come with. Gesturing for her to follow Haggard smiled at her.

"After you." he said holding the door open for Taki. He was if anything a gentleman and a marine, but not a scoundrel. Not like his subordinate Lieutenant Kaputz.

The marine seemed to smirk at her as she mentioned she wanted food. She wasn’t quite sure if that was a natural reaction but oh well. He offered to walk into town with her and eat the food there. “I hope it’s free.” she grunted, ducking beneath the exit. She looked down at the festival. It looked alright, though she felt a pang in her back, it wouldn’t take long for her back pain to start, which sent an ominous shiver down her spine.

Which reminded her, she needed to get money. Unfortunately, wearing the attire (or lack of) had a distinct penalty of having less pockets to put money in. Not that she cared, she could just.. Wrap it in her loincloth or something. Or in her fists. She walked toward the town, wondering if they’d act like the rest of the islands she’d been to. Though, the blues were oddly charming in that they were surprised that she even existed, rather than the racial hatred of the grand line. "Thanks." she said to the captain.

Re: Mistaken Identity

Post by Docile on Mon Mar 23, 2015 9:31 pm

With the sound of music in the air it was hard to get his bearings as the surrounding sounds usually helped in figuring out what was where. But instead he'd have to focus on his eyes. Looking to the signs Koto really wanted to find himself a blacksmiths at least that way he could be certain he could find someone to help him in getting these cuffs off.

He needed higher ground. Looking for one of the taller buildings he decided it was time for a little bit of parkour. Picking up the pace & running some more Koto quickly reached his natural optimum speed. Sprinting towards a church he leapt up on to the back of bundle of crates & hoped from one crate to the next gaining slightly more & more height until finally he was only a few feet from the lower portion of the rooftop.

Throwing himself up into the air & throwing his momentum forward he cast himself into a forward flip landing himself on the roof of the church. Landing on his back rather than feet Koto realized he'd over shot it just a little bit.

Rolling over & picking himself up however he discovered one thing he didn't want to. The Marine Head Quarters was only so empty because they soldiers were all in town making sure the festival went according to plan uninterrupted.

Making his way to the edge of the rooftop Koto spotted a naval soldier standing on the edge. Charging into him from behind Koto rammed his shoulder into the soldier knocking him from the rooftop. As the soldier was rammed he fell from the roof. Koto reached for his rifle grabbing it from the soldier's back.

Stepping back from the edge he directed the barrel at the center of the cuffs & then tried as he may to pull the trigger on the rifle. If he could fire a single shot he might be able to blast these cuffs apart.

Holding the barrel in place with both hands by holding the tip Koto tried using his mouth to pull the trigger. Struggling a sudden loud BANG! was heard.

"Sure it'll be free. What kind of man would I be if I made a guest to this island pay." The festival was well underway. Streets were filled with singing & dancing all around the two of them the closer they got the louder & more colourful everything got.

"I know a nice little place which does a burger that I'd like to say is the best thing I've ever tasted. But I'll let you be the judge."

Leading the way from streets into the slightly less crowded areas Captain Haggard noticed a few Marines spotting him walking with Taki. He ignored it though. If they shot this guest of his then he'd have something to say about it. He wasn't in the wrong.

Pushing past the crowds Captain Haggard looked up towards Taki.

"I just love this festival. Every year I see it, it just puts a smile on my face."

Arriving on Ganze street Captain Haggard smiled and looked both ways. No one was there. Crossing the street Captain Haggard turned to face Taki.

"The floats will be coming back through here later. So if you like we can stay and eat and wait for the floats to come past here." Leading Taki to the small bar he'd spoken about with the best burgers he'd ever had Captain Haggard walked over to the outdoor seats. Noticing Taki was probably too large he chuckled & raised a hand signalling her to wait.

Heading inside he reemerged later with a large bean bag.

"There you go, sit on that."

Sitting opposite her at the table Captain Haggard handed her a menu. The street behind them and the aromas of such delightful food before them Captain Haggard grinned.

"What do you want? Its on me."

They both walked down to the town. People were singing, dancing, and even more surprisingly, they just ignored her. That or they didn’t see her. She did notice a few marines, staring, however. “Oh, thanks.” she hadn’t actually had a burger in.. Forever, actual cow meat was hard to find in fishman island. Though she still wanted to try fruit, she supposed she could find more later. “I’ll try one of those.” she’d say.

While Haggard pushed through the crowds, she had to gently edge herself along, she hadn’t quite been in such a crowded area in a long time. It made her feel just a little claustrophobic. She heard him speak again, “What’s it about?” she’d ask, having to just slightly nudge a person who was looking away from her out of the way.

They soon came to an empty part of town, her back started to ache, thus making her feel more than a little grumpy. “Right.” she said shortly. He then led her to a bar where.. She had to admit, it did smell very good. Her stomach rumbled again at the scent. Though, much to her dismay she did notice that the seats were at least.. A lot percent likely to be crushed beneath her weight. The marine went into the place and, much to her delight, brought out a large bean bag. “Oh, that’s useful.e’d say, sitting upon the thing, she felt her back starting to ease up already. She looked at the menu, though had a hard time figuring out what to take. “I’ll just have.. Whatever you’re having.” she’d say.

This islands a bit different, usually I get met with hostility, like your friend back in the building.” she’d say, checking the stab marks from the knives.

Dropping the rifle Koto hadn't been able to hold on to it due to the kick back it gave and as it kicked back so violently he had received the rifle pulling on his mouth which he used to pull the trigger. It had hurt like hell.

He'd landed on his arse and his teeth all felt as if they'd been hit with a shovel. But on the bright side his hands weren't cuffed anymore. It just looked like he was wearing two metal bracelets that were an exact fit on him.

Grabbing the rifle and singing it over his back Koto took a few steps towards the edge of the rooftop and peered over.

He'd unfortunately drawn a bit too much attention to himself. The festival was still underway however what he hadn't expected was for the soldiers to have heard the gun shot over the music & dancing.

How wrong he had been.

A soldier standing atop a building opposite him had not only spotted him but was now taking aim whilst three more rushed to the church. Two of them rushed up the stairs to find the source of the noise whilst a third rushed over to the edge of her building where she caught sight of Koto with a rifle on his back.

Looking up at the soldier who was taking aim, Koto quickly flipped off of the rooftop. Throwing himself into a forward flip he came crashing down. atop the other marine he'd thrown off the rooftop.

"Shit!" the soldier opposite the church muttered. Picking himself up Koto started running as fast as he could from the church. It was not a good time to be hanging around. Sprinting as fast as he could manage avoiding as many people as he could in the crowded streets Koto just wanted out.

As Taki questioned what the festival was about Haggard smiled.

"Its a celebration. 80 years ago this island was under the rule of a notorious pirate. A real nasty piece of work. A Marine called Mickey Blue Eyes came and rescued the town from him. This is a celebration of Mickey's victory. The entire town was laid to waste and as happy as people were that they were now free, they were still upset that their lives were ruined. Mickey just started dancing. When they asked him why he simply said it was because he was happy and in the event of being victorious be it a game to a life threatening situation you should always celebrate the victory. Its why there's a statue in the town square of a dancing Marine. Its meant to be Mickey. The Dancing Marine."

As a waitress made her way over to the table Haggard smiled at her.

"Hi there. Great costume." the waitress said as she looked at Taki with a smile. "Can I take your order?"

"Yes please we'd like two hog chicken burgers with extra onion rings, curly fries instead of regular fires a rack of ribs & a nice big bottle of Igluu blue for me and regular Igluu for my friend here."

"Right you are sir. I'll bring that all over to you. Shouldn't be too long."

"Thank you very much." Haggard replied as he turned back to Taki. "So what brings you to town?"

“” she said at the story of Mickey. Well, it wasn’t really all that good to dance over all celebrations, like a victory that’s caused the deaths of almost your entire army, that wouldn’t be anything to smile about. Or having to kill your best friend over a position of power, that also wouldn’t be something to dance about. Oh well, people are strange. “I.. See.

The waitress would come over, “Cos-” she was about to ask, but then figure that it’d be best if people didn’t know she was a fishman. “..Thanks.e’d say, shifting a bit in the bean bag. The order sounded large, but she guessed it was because he figured she’d want it that much, or he was just a big eater for a human. When the waitress went away, she’d shrug. “Sounds good.

Mostly drifting. I came to the blues to free slaves, though. I got a list to where they were and after exhausting the Grand Line equivalent, I came here.” she said, shrugging. No sense in lying, he sounded like an upstarting guy, and slavery IS illegal, unless she got something wrong about the upper world.

Re: Mistaken Identity

Post by Docile on Tue Mar 24, 2015 12:52 am

Picking up the pace to the point where he was now running at full speed and then some Koto pounced into the air. Rising above at least a good few people he landed on one of the floats. It was of Mickey the dancing marine. Landing on the back off it he smiled as he looked back only to realize word of his escape & whereabouts had been spread when gunfire burst open the right calf of Mickey on the float.

Ducking behind the other leg Koto looked for an out. It wasn't like him to get into so much trouble, but now that it was here it was only a matter of time before someone got lucky and it wasn't going to be him.

Leaping off of the float into the crowd Koto rolled out of the crowd and into an alleyway. As he hit the floor and rolled he looked back to see the float continuing down the street. Leaving the festival to carry on and the floats to continue drifting down the street whilst music blared sending everyone into fits of enjoyment four loud bangs were heard followed by the screams of terrified civilians.

Turning in shock Koto spotted smoke, flames & worst of all blood which splattered over the crowds.

Rushing back he caught sight of the floats no longer brilliant bright & beautiful but now smoldering wrecks. Looking on in shock Koto quickly turned & fled back into the alleyway to avoid anyone assuming it was him after his tumble on to the float.

Things seemed to be getting bad and he didn't like this.

Listening to her reasons as to why she came here Haggard nodded. She sounded like a person with morals which was a nice change to run into someone who had some.

"If only my subordinate had morals like you. He's a hot headed racist. He don't like blacks either."

Moments later the food was all brought out. With one plate with the burger, curly fries & onion rings the other with ribs & a bottle of igluu one was Haggard's meal the other Taki's.

"Tuck in." he said. Quickly he dug straight into his burger & within moments that bearded mouth was full of burger & a portion of the plate was now empty. He started on his ribs next occasionally eating an onion ring or chip.

"Well Ms its been nice meeting you & I'm glad I was able to treat you to some food. Before you think I'm hitting on you I'm not. I just believe its better to have more friends than enemies. And seeing one day that we become enemies for whatever reason I'd like to think that the kindness of others will have an impact upon your choices."

Finishing his meal rather sharpish Haggard downed his alcohol free beer and sat back. Placing his hands on his belly he let out a burp and grinned.

"That is what I call a good meal."

Sounds about right.” she’d say, his lieutenant did seem to have a particular hatred against her, she wondered if it was just fantastic racism or if her kind hat wronged him somehow in the past. Soon the food came out and it smelled just as good as inside. She found herself drooling a little before quickly wiping it away.

She waited until the human began eating before she did so herself. She took a large bite of the burger, chewed and swallowed. In about three bites she’d finished it. She didn’t want to get a stomach ache from eating too much too quickly, but it also smelt really good.

She emptied the bowl/basket of fries into her mouth and ate them as well, they tasted pretty good, though she guessed they were only there to supplement the burger, maybe she should’ve tried putting them together, that would’ve been interesting. She took a swig of the drink to flush it down, then moved onto the ribs.

She didn’t even bother picking them, she ripped off half and put it into her mouth, crunching bones as well as meat. She took a break from that to eat the onion rings and then finished the last of it. She drank the rest of the drink before finishing. “Oh, uhm.. I suppose so. If you like letting people have slaves or something.” she shrugged. “Thanks for the meal though, it tasted good.” hm, she never thought to actually cook the fish she ate, though she did spend most of her time swimming in travel, fire wasn’t exactly an option. Though, she guessed cooking does improve the flavour, which is good. She frowned, the screams started to sound more like distress, rather than.. Happiness? Whatever they were being happy about before.

Running down the alleyway Koto found his head bashing into the stomach of a Naval soldier who was knocked on to his arse. Hitting the floor & looking ahead to see Koto the Marine quickly opened up.

"HERE'S HERE!" he shouted pointing towards Koto.

"Shit!" he muttered. Turning and fleeing he ran back into the street. The crowd would provide a decent cover for him. As he reached the crowd the soldiers gave chase. Charging into the street they stopped to try & find their way through the crowd whilst Koto reached the other side.

Looking back to see the soldiers taking their first steps into the crowd Koto grinned. It was time to make his grand escape.

Escaping into the alleyways that led between the houses Koto felt his heart racing he
wasn't much of a criminal but in one day he'd managed to get arrested break out of prison and get blamed for interrupting a festival with bombs.

Standing atop the clock tower however was a large gentleman in a long brown robe with a hood covering his face. His lips were stretched into a smile. Turning from the edge of the window | clock face that looked out over the streets the gentleman turned and made his way down a set of stairs towards the small floor in the middle of the center of the large clock's top floor. A desk sat dead center which the gentleman sat at.

Sitting down and reaching for a quill he quickly ticked off a few squares on the paper which made mention of his tasks. Lifting the den den mushi receiver he quickly dialed his superior.

"Phase One complete"

Haggard was enjoying the meal with Taki even though he was yet to discover her name. but he didn't much care. He'd made his intentions to her clear and was happy to see she'd enjoyed the meal. As she mentioned about slavery he replied.

"Its not what I think about slavery that matters but more what brings forth a paycheck for me. I don't agree with it & if possible I will free slaves of their shackles, but if instructed otherwise I'll do as I'm told."

With the sudden sound of an explosion bursting into life heard just beyond the street they were on Haggard's attention was torn from Taki.

"Sorry Ms but it seems I'm needed elsewhere right now." Getting to his feet Haggard turned to the waitress who'd served them. "Thank you for the lovely meal once again Marie. Here, that should cover it." he tossed down a few beli notes and stepped out into the street. "Looks like duty calls."

Sprinting off towards the destruction of the floats he quickly noticed how the festival had been halted and the screams of townsfolk were echoing throughout the streets.

Reaching for his snail phone Captain Haggard made a quick call.

"Kaputz! Get into town now. Meet me at the Clock tower!"

It was time the Marines showed their true colours. Leaving Taki behind Haggard just hoped she had nothing to do with this.

Right.” she said, well, she had to fight a lot of people like him in the Grand Line she guessed, just spurred by the need for money. She couldn’t actually remember if she fought any marines in particular, she managed to not get a bounty so far as she could tell which was good. Then again, she may have gotten one in the Line, but not in the blues, no way of telling until she actually saw it herself. Anyway, what could they give her a bounty for? “Freeing a bunch of slaves”?

She blinked as she heard an explosion and she turned a little toward it. Looks like those weren’t screams of happiness or something. She nodded at the waitress before standing up, rubbing her back and trying to look over as to see what the commotion was about. The captain went off to do his duty and so forth. She shrugged. “Bye. Good luck.” she’d call after him before turning to wonder what she should do now. She didn’t THINK this island had any slaves, so she supposed that she should just let the marines do their thing.

Then again, she should probably go and look for some fruit, since that’s what brought her to the place in the first place. Maybe before she went swimming she could go get some oranges, since those had a protective layer over them she could pick away, good against the saltiness of the sea that ruined it.

She decided to have a look at what was going on, she supposed she could climb up a building and watch from on high. She spied a particularly large house with a square top, before walking over to it, passing into an alleyway to reach it.

Koto could feel the Marines closing in on him as he hung around in the alleyway. Unsure of what to do & uncertain of where to go he figured his best bet was to try his luck stealing a ship.

Peering out of the edge of the alleyway towards a sign he looked for the sign that read harbor. Unfortunately he couldn't read them all. Looking across the street he figured it may be a good idea to speedily sprint across the street to the next alleyway.

As he did so he caught a quick glimpse of the sign. It read Church.

"Shit!"

Reaching the next alleyway he turned and stopped. Leaning with his back against the wall he took a deep breath.

Maybe if I climb the building I climb the clock tower I can get a better view. Maybe. That might just work. Screw it!

Sprinting towards the clock tower Koto quickly picked up the pace to his fastest running speed as he reached the foot of the clock tower Koto quickly hit the wall & kicked off from it throwing himself into the building opposite. Continuing this action till he got half way up th grabbed hold of the ledge sticking out & begun to sprint around the ledge picking up the pace faster & faster till finally he redirected his momentum.

Launching it upwards Koto found himself rising up into the sky. As he rose up he threw his torso forward trying to reach out for the ledge at the top only to see the clock revealing itself before him as his fist came crashing into contact with the clock on the South East side.

Thank you momentum! he thought to himself sarcastically as the clock shattered and Koto fell inwards. Landing on the top floor & hurtling down the stairs he landed before the desk with the hooded gentleman.

The hooded gentleman looked towards Koto in surprise & raised an eyebrow.

"This is the man you're sending?" he asked the man on the other end of the den den mushi

Making her way into town where the smoke had billowed from the clock face that had been shattered came crashing down.

Shooting down slicing the air came crashing towards Taki from above. A million little shards of glass all ready to tear up whatever stood in its way. As the first few shards shattered around Taki a few more headed straight for her. Much larger pieces too.

Entering the entrance to the alleyway opposite her a man in a sombrero with a poncho covering his torso arrived. Looking towards her he grinned revealing a pearly white grin beneath his thick black mustache. Covering his feel were a pair of cowboy boots & beneath the poncho all that was seen was black. His arms were covered in tattoos from what could be seen which was from the elbows down.

Making his way towards Taki he stopped directly before her.

"Are you the one?" he asked Taki

Taki let out a grunt as she heard the sounds of glass shattering, she looked up to see countless shards of glass heading her way. Though she could probably survive it, she’d likely fall due to blood loss than anything else. She grabbed saw a broken off piece of wood, a little broken which was probably why it was in the trash, and waved it upward as hard as she could. She hoped to create a gust of wind to blow the smaller pieces elsewhere. Then she simply ran the heck away from the danger zone before the larger shards came her way.

She felt her back’s pain quicken as she ran, her large chest heaving. She managed to reach the safer-zone near the end of the alleyway with only one shard of glass around the size of a knife in her should. She slid it out with a wince and tossed it to the floor to her side. Soon some guy who looked weird came out, she wasn’t quite sure if she felt like dealing with people right now, but her irritation also caused her to want to mess with people. “Maybe. What’s it to you?” she said, brushing blood off her shoulder.

Grunting as he lay on the floor Koto looked up towards the roof feeling his body aching. He hated feeling line this. Glass was scattered all over him and a few cuts were over his face & arms.

Standing up & reaching over the table the man in robes offered his hand to Koto.

"Please. Take a seat."

Reaching up to grab the seat & use it to pick himself up Koto sat down and looked across the table at the gentleman.

"Its a pleasure to meet you." he said offering a handshake. Koto reluctantly took the hand shake and shook his hand. His hand's were freezing.

"Hey"

Looking Koto over the gentleman pulled a slightly surprised face.

"I thought you'd be taller."

Feeling a twinge of anger surge through him Koto pulled a face and stood on the seat leaning over the desk.

"HEY! DON'T YOU MAKE ME-"

"Sorry! Ha ha ha. You are a firey one aren't you."

"What's that meant to mean!?"

"I look forward to working with you. Have Master Reath told you your job?"

"Master who?"

"Master Reath? Our employer."

"I don't work for anyone but me."

"So you don't know about the horse races or the Vulnick statue?"

"What about them?"

"Nothing."

Realizing that this man might not be the man he was searching for he reached for a pack of cards in his desk.

"I believe I have made a terrible mistake. As way of apology I would like you to have these. If you show them at the entrance to the horse racing you will gain free access courtesy of my digressions."

Raising an eyebrow Koto hoped down off of the chair & placed the cards in his pocket.

Standing up & quickly casting his arms into the air the gentleman shouted.

"ASYLUM GRIP!"

The cards in his pocket quickly vanished forming a straitjacket which was already tied up around him. Gripping him tightly Koto's eyes widened as he felt the grip around him so tightly. Looking at the man as he held a flintlock in his hand Koto ducked as the gentleman squeezed the trigger and fired a bullet towards him.

Koto avoided getting shot and leapt on to his back kicking the seat up into the man's face.

Rolling on to his side and flipping on to his feet Koto sprinted towards the open window where he'd shattered the clock face.

Casting the chair aside after it hit him the gentleman he took aim once more and fired another shot.

Falling over the edge and crashing down Koto opened his mouth to scream when the sudden change in air pressure met his mouth & held the scream in.

Rushing to the edge the gentleman looked out over the edge to see Koto crashing down towards a large creature that looked part human part fish who was talking to a man in a sombrero.

Looking at the creature who asked what it was to him and made mention of herself possibly being the one he was looking for the man raised an eyebrow.

"If I have to ask, then you're clearly not the one I am looking for and that means one but one thing & one thing only."

Casting his poncho aside and into the air it was quickly caught in a large gust of wind. Beneath the poncho was two sets of ammo belts & now in each hand a sawn off shotgun.

Within seconds of being revealed the sawn off shot guns were both half empty with one barrel that had been fired in the direction of Taki.

"I only hope that your life was a good one." the hit man mentioned as he took a step closer & placed his fingers on the second trigger ready to let loose a second barrage of lead into Taki.

Taki blinked as he raised his eyebrow and spoke, perhaps she should’ve arrived the day before, because something fishy was definitely going on around here, it only doubled her assumption as to the integrity of the man as he revealed two guns that he fired at her. She grunted as she was hit, she was a fair amount away from full devastation, and her blubber helped cushion the impact to her muscle, but it hurt like a bastard.

Falling to a knee and gritting her teeth, she raised one arm and punched the ground toward him, “One thousand tile true punch!” she cough as she punched the ground with her might, attempting to send the force shockwave toward the assaulter and knock him back, she didn’t quite care for his status after it.

She heard another shot, this time upwards. She craned her upper body to look upwards only to see a fairly short person falling downwards, she didn’t have quite enough time to evade, and she was slowed due to the freaking bullets in her body. She let out an “Oof!” as he landed somewhere upon her body, causing her to fall backwards onto her back.

Smiling flashing his gritty yellowy teeth the man took a step closer he planned to squeeze the next two triggers sending out another barrage of lead her way. As he was about to he felt a sudden wave of motion flowing towards him through the ground.

the larger woman had slammed her fist into the ground. It was becoming more & more apparent now that this was not a costume she was wearing it was a real fish woman.

Thrown from his feet backwards and landing on his back he grunted. This gunslinger wasn't going to be brought down this easily.

As for Koto he landed face first on something blubbery. Unsure what it was he was just grateful it wasn't the cold hard ground. Bouncing off of whatever he'd hit Koto rolled forwards and as he lifted his head he looked towards the gun toting mustached man.

He stood over him with a grin and a sawn off barrel in his face whilst the other was aimed at Taki.

"You seem to have come at a most inappropriate time. Such a shame. Hopefully no one will miss the little man."

LITTLE MAN!? Koto thought to himself. This guy clearly didn't know Koto. Lying on his front Koto quickly spun his body & around with his arms and cast his legs up kicking the sawn off out of the way.

As the sawn off was kicked into the air Koto threw himself on to his feet and leapt at the mustached man as he leapt up for his sawn off.

Shoulder barging him in the groin a loud muffled scream was heard & Koto felt the man fall from his body & hit the ground. Grinning as he looked at the man who now lay in agony he turned to Taki.

"Thanks for the soft landing toots!" he said with a grin.

She managed to blow the human back using the force of her punch, the hole and line form it was evident of her strength, though guns did make it a little more even, if not dismally put the fight in his favour. Not to mention something landed on her, causing her to fall backwards onto her back. She placed a hand on her stomach, the spread of the shotgun riddled her body, but it didn’t’ seem to hit anything important, it just hurt like hell.

She sat up to watch the smaller human shoulder barge the sombrero man in the groin. The man turned to him and thanked her, “” she sarcastically replied through ground teeth. She stood up, looming ominously over the shorter person before moving on to the one who attacked her. She would attempt to grab his leg, clench it harshly in her fist before trying to lift him up. “Why did you attack me?” she demanded, lifting him up higher.

She glanced to the smaller human, “And I suppose you were responsible for the shattered glass?” all of her wounds ached, but guns were annoying as he fingers were usually too thick to pull them out.

Watching as the large woman reached forward & grabbed ahold of the man in the sombrero or at least who was in it but no longer had one as he was hoisted up high above Koto's head he watched as she questioned why he'd shot her.

"No one can know I am here."

"Ain't that a shame." Koto replied as he looked at the man hanging upside down with a grin. As the focus shifted towards Koto and questions about the shattered glass came Koto's way he turned to face Taki.

"Yeah about that. I'd blame the guy in the clock tower. He's a real a-hole. I may have been the one going through it but not by choice. Ok well by choice, but he made me do it."

"Man in the clock tower?" the man with the poncho question.

Looking upwards towards the top he spotted a man in a robe. The man he'd come to help. He could see he was climbing out to get a shot at Taki.

Noticing where the guy in the poncho was looking Koto looked up too and spotted the gentleman in the robe.

"That guy!" Koto shouted as he pointed towards the man in the robe with the flintlock. Looking towards Taki Koto continued. "I dunno about you, but I'm getting out of here." he exclaimed as he sped out of the alleyway & a bullet ripped free from the barrel of the flintlock in Taki's direction.

Taki ground her teeth as she heard that no one could know that he was here. Well, she knew he was here. That small guy knew he was here. Upon hearing her somewhat-saviour’s explanation, she would look up, seeing a man dressed in a robe.

She heard Koto confirm it was indeed him who caused the glass, she’d feel more than a little annoyance swell up in her. She’d flip Sombrero up so he’d end up landing in her palms before putting a leg back in a bracing manoeuvre, aiming toward the second guy. She heard small-fry beat a heated retreat and the robe-man point a gun toward her.

She, meanwhile would fire the Sombrero man upwards, attempting to kill two birds with one stone by propelling one into the other. If she succeeds, she’d more than likely kill a third bird by making him take the shot instead. Then she’d turn to see that the Dwarf was already gone, wherever was safest, it wasn’t here.

She’d attempt to run out of the alleyway whether he attempt was successful or not, looking left and right before deciding to run toward the harbour.

As the man in the poncho was thrown skywards towards the gentleman in the robe the two collided. As Taki made her move to leave the alleyway & follow Koto the two men who seemed to be working for the same organisation made their way back into the clock tower by any means they could.

Koto stopped in the middle of the street as it was currently feeling like a rather safe place at the current point in time. The sawn off shot gun's had brought Naval soldiers into the vicinity and as Koto caught sight of Taki running from the scene of the crime he gestured towards her to follow him from the scene towards the harbour as he found a sign directing him.

"C'mon, lets head to the docks. Less people around & less trouble to be in here."

Koto hadn't been looking for a fight but one had certainly found him. As Koto led the way he hadn't noticed the sudden pain that had begun to sting so badly on his right shoulder. Each time he moved his arm it hurt and he grimaced in pain.

As he jogged ahead of Taki leading the way what he hadn't noticed or even felt until now when the pain was no longer disguised by endorphins was a bloody wound that was beginning to douse his shirt in a crimson stain.

Arriving at the edge of the town Koto could see the docks and feel his shoulder hurting more than it had done so earlier. Grunting as he felt back towards the wound he started to realize the wound that he'd gained from this first outing after breaking free from prison.

he still even had the cuffs on with the exception of them still being connected to one another. Turning to Taki Koto smiled.

"Sorry about the glass, I'm Koto. Koto Bazzi."
