Appearance: Giorgio is a young man of above average height at 6'0 and sports a slim build of 152lbs. His body is in no way intimidating, but he has the muscle definition of someone who exercises regularly. He has blond hair that stops right above his ears and big golden eyes that match his hair. Gio has pale skin, which made sunblock use very important for him, until he ate the Magu Magu no Mi of course. He has a baby face, seeming younger than he actually is. Gio's usual top attire is a short-sleeved white button down shirt, with a black collar and suspenders. He wears full-length black pants and black shoes. Sometimes he'll wear a black sports coat over the shirt.

Gio:

Personality: Giorgio looks like he would be a serious person but at heart, he can be pretty playful. He tends to make silly remarks a good amount of the time, but he knows when to get serious. He has a cool and calm demeanor and doesn't get mad unless someone close to him is hurt, which is a bit ironic considering his nickname. Although he does hate to be interrupted and finds it to be disrespectful, it's an easy way to get on his bad side.

Gio is a nice persson, but he's no pushover, he just emits a peaceful aura. Like his father, Giorgio has a real nose for adventure and spending his life on Karate Island caused him to be unexposed to the outside world. And Gio has a certain hunger for the unknown, so he wants to see all the unknowns in the world. However, his one true dream is the same one his father had; to have his name known worldwide. When he's not on an adventure or training, he can usually be found reading.

Giorgio welcomes anyone to challenge him. He's very confident in his abilities and loves to fight. He loves fighting because he can meet different people with different abilities. It also gives him an opportunity to test his abilities. Though fights excite him, he's still as calm as ever, unless he is in extreme distress. Although he may seem like a carefree person, he will hold his future crew with utmost importance, and is willing to die protecting them. He knows that the bonds between friends can be just as strong as those between family. Gio has a great sense of pride and feels great shame when he can't fulfill a promise. 

Character History


Background
Giorgio Lux was born on August 2nd to Bella Lux, who was the wife of a pirate named Giovanni Lux. Giovanni was the captain of his own crew and like many other pirates before him, he wanted to become the Pirate King. Hence, he left his home of South Blue to follow his dreams. Sadly, his dreams were short-lived, as he died just 4 months after setting sail. His crew was ambushed by the Marines. Bella was 6 months pregnant when she heard the news of her husband’s death and immediately fell into a deep depression and actually ended up becoming very sickly. His mother died soon after giving birth to the boy.

Bella’s aunt, former Rear Admiral Auntie Lux, adopted Gio soon after and took him to live with her on Karate Island. For the first 8 years or so of his life, Giorgio was in and out of the hospital mainly because of his weak immune system and sensitive skin. He mainly went out during the night because of this and would sneak into bars and listen to pirates tell stories about the seven seas. But everything changed a couple of days before his 9th birthday when he “found” the Magu Magu no Mi. In actuality, he had stolen the fruit from a bunch of sleeping bandits, who were planning on selling the fruit for a lofty price. He hardly had any control over the fruit and wound up burning down the house. Instead of shunning him though, his aunt helped him control his power. She didn't really know much about devil fruits, except for when the user of a fruit dies, the fruit goes back into nature. Her knowledge on the matter was quite limited, but there was no one else he could turn to. Also, his aunt was a former Marine and she never learned Haki, she had seen it in use and knew just how powerful it was, which piqued Gio's interest in it.

She began training Gio in the One Sword Stlye at the age of 6, though the intense training didn’t start until after he gained his logia abilities. The entire point of taking him to Karate Island was to make him into a stronger man than his father. Auntie Lux was actually a former member of the Marines and resigned because she could no longer idly stand by and watch the hypocrisy and cruelty take place. She has since become an ally to the Revolutionary Army. Auntie Lux had told him many stories about the government (Ohara, slavery, etc etc) and told him how his father was actually killed by Marines. Giorgio has a vendetta against the government and if he can't reform it, he'll just destroy it.


A few months after his 19th birthday, he had finally completed his Aunt’s rigorous training and decided to begin his own journey.

Abilities:
"Hawk-Eye": Giorgio has excellent vision that is comparable to a hawk's. While normal humans usually have 20/20 vision, Gio has 20/2 vision.

Weapon Description: Notus is a katana that is 41" long with a rust-colored blade that is approximately 30". The blade is made with 75% tungsten and 25% steel. Because of the tungsten infused steel, the blade is slightly heavier the average katana.

Highly Heat Resistant: Notus is resistant enough to endure Gio's Magu Magu no Mi's power.

Weapon History: After he attained his devil fruit powers, Giorgio had a hard time not melting swords. So his aunt, went to a master blacksmith and asked for a highly fire resistant blade. The blacksmith's inspiration was Shusui, one of the 21 O Wazamono grade swords. And thus Notus was born... or bought. Gio has had the katana since he was 10 and considers it his greatest possession. The metals used in the making of this blade are tungsten and steel.
