Something is fishy...

"Captain Coniko!" called a shipmate "We have arrived to the island." Coniko got up from his nap and yawned. Getting up and stretching was the first thing the Captain leveled Marine did. He put on his suit and put on his Justice coat and walked out onto the deck. It was sort of hectic but organized at the same time. These were fellow Marines. Brethren if Coniko must say. The smell of the salty air and the sound of the waves crashing against the ship was a regular for Coniko. Walking forward Coniko was presented with salutes and waves alike. Coniko would always wave of salute back. Whether it was for respect or he just liked doing it.

Anyways they were now on the island. Coniko stepping down. Letting his feet touch the ground. Coniko finally put his two feet on the ground and the first thing he is confronted with his a group of lowly pirates. Looking to raise their bounties. Coniko simply looked away and gave the signal for his fellow Marines to take action. The sounds of guns firing and the sounds of clashing steel echoed into Coniko's ear. Coniko passed through stores with eyes dead on him. Seemingly peering into his soul. It didn't quite bother Coniko but it would just irritate him.

Coniko would crack his neck by tilting it to the side of his head. Coniko gazed upon the clouds above him. The one thing that Coniko has never asked was: what was up there? Coniko never asked such a question because he was gonna find out by himself. He doesn't need to ask any question becuase when he finds out there will be no need. It probably isn't even fun up there. Coniko would continue walking until he finally reached his destination. 

It was Coniko's job to guard a mermaid for a couple of days. She was a singer and was popular with men. That being of course there are going to be a few stalkers. But a mission is indeed a mission. Coniko sat down in a build which had no sigh and no door. Which was weird but if he needed too he would just make light. He is light after all...

Hotaru was tired...so very tired,the dark circles under her eyes showed that easily,she hadn't slept in almost a week,not since the night with Rin and that hell inside her head,she could still feel them raking their rotting fingers over her skin ripping into it with a hunger of mindless beasts,she could still remember her screams and Rins crazed laughter. It was because of this dream she refused to sleep and became more careless with each passing day that had ended in her capture...So here she was sitting in this dark room inside a tank a chain warped around her tail,her whip taken from her but at least they had let her keep the harp...

"You know none of this would of happened if you would of just let me have this body.." Hotaru turned to stare at her refection in the glass only to see a much sinsiter and blood stained version staring back. "Go away Rin..." She says softly only to hear that same cold heartless laugh "I can never go away,I'm always going to be here in your mind weather you like it or not,I'm a part of you!"

Hotaru not able to take anymore from the demon in her mind did what she always did to make her go away. She picked her harp and started to play,a soft and gentle melody,letting her emotions take over as her glow grew or dim as the tempo grew faster or slowed. Suddenly she stopped upon hearing footsteps coming towards her causing her to dim until she was surrounded in darkness only the slight glow from her eyes giving her away.

Coniko got up when he heard a sound coming from down the hall. It was weird that there was only one door. One badly damaged door. Coniko made light at the tip of his index finger or he could do that with his whole body. That would be a better idea. So Coniko slowly opened the door and was met face to face with a large fish bowl. It was too dark to see if there was anything in said fish bowl so Coniko decided to light his whole body up. A human light bulb.

What he saw didn't surprise him he was just intrigued that this was the first time seeing a mermaid. She was beautiful yet mostly untouched just like nature. Bahh Coniko is going on in his head. He shook his head and went closer to the fist bowl. She was chained up. Coniko was sent to this building. Maybe it was to save this person? Coniko punched the fish bowl causing cracks in it to form. "get back i'm going to get you out.." 

They crack soon became small holes that water would gush out from and finally a giant hole blew open Coniko dodged this of course. If he touched water he would get super weak. That was a major weakness seeing how he is around water everyday. It was his job so he can't say anything about it.

He wondered what this odd creature would say to its savior? Would she thank him or curse him? Or maybe worse attack him?

Hotaru was shocked,why was this stranger helping her,in fact how did he get in here in the first place and why was he glowing? But she obeyed him and swam back as far the chain would let her and was shocked as he hit the glass making it crack and create holes,the glass of tank had been fairly thick,not even her Tsunami Wave could break it...Once the water had drained she moved her tail fidgeting slightly "U-Um thank you.." She says softly trying to avoid his gaze and made sure the bandages around her stomach were tight.
