Maximillion stands at twelve feet and four inches tall, towering over a great many humans, broad shoulders aside. He has dark ebony skin that is tinged with a faint hint of purple, and his body is packed with thick, dense muscle that he often hides under baggy clothing. He has a line of gills along where his neck meets his shoulders, on both the left and right sides, and small webbing between his fingers [IMAGE].


Personality:
Using introverted feeling as his base function and extroverted intuition as his creative, Maximillion is adept at understanding people’s internal drive and motivation. he often acts reserved, and polite and respectful around others he doesn’t know well, but will eventually open up more. He implicitly trusts His intuition when judging someone, and this intuition serves him well at grasping more abstract concepts. He is constantly setting new and greater goals for himself, and he cares deeply about meeting these goals. However, it should be noted that these goals are very personal, and he places less weight on the conventional achievements that society values (or that the other Elders of the Bount Society value), so often any correlation is largely coincidental. At His best, Maximillion is known for respecting other people’s beliefs and values, while also being an overachiever; at His worst, His compassion and empathy can cause him undue harm when the people he cares about are suffering. he care about diligence, meeting His individual goals, and respecting others. he dislike behavior that is overtly loud, abrasive or aggressive.


Character History


Background

Maximillion lived a very nondescript life in the earliest stages of his life. He wasted many of the earlier years of his life, as he was laidback and never gave much thought to joining the Marines (due to being a Fish-Man), becoming a Pirate, nor becoming a Revolutionary. He pretty much just hung out with his buddies, spent time sparring with the other orphans in the Dojo owned by the man who played the role of father to Maximillion and a number of other orphans on the island. If anything, he was more interested in sparring, fighting and learning new techniques, than he was eating, drinking, or actually interacting outside of the Dojo.

As a result, Maximillion didn’t pick up a lot of social skills in his youth, and ended up being very socially awkward, his personality mostly only manifesting as a result of his training, and fights (sparring or otherwise) he would get in with other kids growing up. He never had any actual DRIVE or AMBITION until he was in his early twenties, when he had the idea to go and learn about different Martial Arts styles around the world, and thought of incorporating the most powerful and effective techniques from each Art, into a Martial Art of his own (which he decided, then, would be called “Morenkai Fu”, which is a combination of Fish-Man Kung Fu (or "Fish Man Karate"), and some of the Martial Arts found above in the lands of the Humans. His intention: to bring Humans and Fish-Men closer together through his Martial Art.


Maximillion chose the life of a Bounty Hunter, as it’s one that doesn’t require any formal training or social skills (for the most part), areas he has a tough time with. Relying upon muscle memory, his insanely sharp instincts and reflexes, he prefers to *intuitively* learn from sparring and fighting with others, rather than formally learning the style. This has worked for him, however, although it’s speculated that he would become much stronger if he would actually settle down and study a formal Art, rather than swinging from a bunch of styles in a way that appears – to most – to be thoughtless and irreverent.

So far, Maximillion has only managed to beat down criminals with no bounties on their heads, hoping someday to be good enough to land some of the high-Beli criminals out there.

He wants to bring Fish-Men and Humans together as a general goal. Thus far, all he has wanted, or set his sights upon, is becoming smarter, stronger, and better at everything he does with each passing day. As a man in his twenties, and one with little to no vocational guidance, he doesn't have much knowledge of the world beyond what he's known, and what else is out there.

Since his youth, Maximillion has always been fascinated with humanoid physiology, and experimenting with ways to affect the physiology of others, be it positively...or adversely. He experiments actively with herbs, powders, potions, and medicines aimed at affecting the humanoid body in a number of ways. Some of his most noteworthy accomplishments was creating a poisons that can be applied to weapons, for a number of effects, some more subtle and difficult to notice than others.

He once, in his eyes, "Outdid" himself by inventing a salve that, if applied onto a sword, will cause a wound inflicted by said wound almost the instant it's dealt. This salve was invented to assist him in staging kills on friends of his who would pretend to be villainous, in order to score the lot of them food and money.



Abilities: Maximillion has razor sharp instincts, capable of intuitively picking up on things most people would miss or overlook, such as when the mood in a room has changed, or even being able to tell (with 95% accuracy) what mood someone is feeling in the moment, even though he can't just automatically know what the mood pertains to (since he's not Psychic). He also has an almost supernatural degree of Muscle Memory, his body capable of retaining the 'memory' of any action he's performed, even if it was only once. He also has an eidetic memory, which means that it's very near photographic, but lacking much of the finer-tuned precision those with Photographic Memory possess.

Also, for some reason, most Animals seem to really like him, particularly those that are good at sensing intent, feelings his warmth and kindness and not feeling inclined to attack him, unless he does something aggressive towards them first. This is particularly so with Sea animals, although he can communicate with most Sea animals, although not the land animals so much.

Weapon Description: It's a Katana, about 5 feet long, and 6" wide. The handle is fashioned out of a number of leather cords permanently bound together, with a small rope hanging off to the side. The guard of the sword has two rings fashioned in it, which are used for connecting chains or other type items, depending upon what's convenient and useful at the time.


Weapon Special Abilities: None, other than being nigh indestructible.


Weapon History: Gheos is a Seastone Katana, forged from Seastone and alloys from a meteorite that fell to the Earth a couple decades ago. It is non-ferrous, but is nearly unrivaled in terms of durability. Unknown to him, it's previous wielder endured barrages against giants with enormous warhammers, without the sword enduring even a single chip or dent.  Maximillion gained the Katana, honestly, by accident, as he was digging around in the 'yard' of the Dojo he grew up at, trying to find one of the toys he had buried at the time, somehow uncovering the sword in the process. The Dojo Master held it for Maximillion until the latter came of age, then gave it back to him.

As with his Martial Art, "Gheos" is a name that has some kind of Spiritual Meaning to him, although it's name isn't derived from any known language.

Combat Information

Unarmed Combat: Maximillion uses a mix of Fish-Man Karate, Capoeira and Ken Po in a Martial Art he has dubbed "Morenkai Fu".

Samehada Shotei (“Sharkskin Palm Block”):
A simple palm block with enough force behind it to deter most blows, even those dealt with weapons.

Mizu-Ha (“Water Blast”)
Maximillion hurls a simple droplet of water at his opponent, which can become a deadly bullet with the kinetic force created by his immense fishman strength. By gathering more moisture along his hand or weapon, Maximillion can hurl it in the form of an arc of water, which can slice through solid objects, especially flesh and bone.


Weapon Based Combat: Maximillion is exceptionally proficient in fighting with a single sword, although still rough around the edges. He hasn't yet managed to become comfortable with two swords, as he's uncomfortable with the amount of divided focus and attention it requires to wield two blades effectively. He will fight as much with his head, feet, and environment (stones, trees, bags of rice, etc) as he will his blade.

Mizu no Yaiba ("Blades of Water"):
Maximillion uses this either by gathering moisture from the air, or simply by using it underwater; it makes an ordinary slash send a piercing "arc" of water at a foe, capable of piercing even solid objects.

Mizu Ryu no Yaiba ("Water Dragon Blades")
A much more powerful, yet less concentrated version of "Mizu no Yaiba", aimed at targeting a wider attack radius. A Water Dragon seems to come from his sword, and rushes at the target (or targeted distance). Once it arrives there, it explodes in a shower of water, and blades of water go in all directions, depending upon where the Water Dragon was headed when it exploded.



Devil Fruit Based Combat: N/A


Combo Combat: When fighting in a group, Maximillion will let other teammates take the forefront of the battle, complimenting their attacks with his own. Odds are, even if he aids in a fight, he won't be the one who holds the spotlight in the end....and he's happy with that arrangement.

Assist: Maximillion might employ a teammate's strengths and abilities by devising a way to use their methods to supplement his own.

Tactics: Maximillion is best applied when he is set to devise tactics for a team. As such, when employing his tactics, teammates are significantly more likely to succeed in combat, war efforts, etc. while under his leadership.

Mind Games: Maximillion is pretty good at assessing what a person's psychological weaknesses and vulnerabilities are, in short order. While this makes him incapable of many feats known to such people, he is capable of drawing the attention of enemies away from his teammates, and onto himself.


Haki: N/A
Maximillion hasn't grasped Haki yet, although he has innate (albeit dormant) potential in it. Those with Haki will be able to sense that there is a certain 'resonance' within him, although it will appear "dim and distant".

Species – What kind of fishman is he? What fish does he stem from?
 
Lifegoal – There doesn’t seem to be a reason in his bio about bringing Humans and Fishmen together, from what I’ve seen his lifegoal would be to learn the ultimate martial art or something.
 
Weapon – You have, yes, put in a weapons history, but there should be some mention of how he got it in the bio as well.
 
Combat – He is rather proficient in fighting with a single sword indeed, but I’m not too sure about the “even the most skill one sword-swordsmen” bit. In the tree of power levels, he isn’t really all that special, since he is only above average. Also his abilities seem a little stronger than what he has power-level wise.

-Your character is not strong enough to do this. Your “immense fishman strength” in the power level is weaker than my non-combat character who doesn’t even know she has a devil fruit. If you want to have these kinds of attacks, start them off at grand line strength, like this character:

I acknowledge that my Stats - and that of my foes - are a stronger indicator of my techniques' effectiveness, than the flavor text used to describe them. I also am opting to keep the wording, since amending every idiosyncrasy in grammar is bound to keep me at this Application process for another several months!

"powerful", "strong", "immense", "big", "small" (etc) are all subject to bias, and relativity. I understand that using these words does not allow them to override or supersede the Stat/Power Level system we have in place, and agree to respect the System, regardless of the wording in any of my Techniques, History, etc.

Me and Fro agreed on the strength factor being dangerous for this move.

Yeah, everyone has a potential for haki, the rules used to have dolmant haki but mneh mneh throw on the cheese.



Also, the stats aren't relative. With power levels, Average strength is for a normal human, not a normal fishman. That's why before, you had to be in the grand line to have a fishman, so you start off with Grand Line stats I.E, skilled etc.

I think you're missing a bit there, do you mean it'll close almost the instant it's dealt? How did he make it and what're the ingredients?
