Duffs Arc: part 1

She managed to scare the hell out of the guy, but she didn’t catch him. She ended her jump either a punch to the ground to halt herself, likely leaving a crater where her fist once was. Removing her hand from the ground, she noticed the big nosed man had managed to get her out of the alleyway, he was pretty fast.  With a frown on her face, she turned toward him.
 
“Ugh.” she walked toward him, she was too tried and the opponent was too weak to go all out today.  She was going to give him a punch to the chest, but she heard someone shout out. She turned toward him just five steps toward the other guy. “…” she stared at him, before sighing.
 
She crossed her arms, the back pain was getting to her. She should just go into the sea and have a sleep. However, she supposed she could have a look at the two fighting, though she was getting more agitated by the minute. If she didn’t get some rest soon, she was going to leave them both in a red crater.

Now this is a fight he could get behind. The thrill of potential death, the adrenaline coursing through his veins, the crater in the ground from how strong that fish woman was. Live life on the edge and you'll never be bored ever again. Taki walked towards him all intimidating like and was about to wind up a big punch towards the drunk, when a familiar voice rang out for her.

"Oh bloody hell, who the hell...Oh, it's the kiddie," Monokibei sighed as he visually showed his disappointment. He didn't seem like much of a challenge, and he really wanted to experience the full power of this fish woman. However, something seemed slightly different about the kid since he last saw him a minute or two ago, like he's somehow changed significantly. The drunk didn't know how or what he used to do it, but he was willing to find out. Best part is that Strong Butt over there was also willing to fight Monokibei

"A'ight, I guess we're doing round two! Put'em up, chump!" Monokibei shouted as he sprinted towards Duff with greased lightning speed. While sprinting, he did a long jump towards him and pulled his right arm backwards. As he closed in towards Duff, he swung his arm forward in a attempt so smash his head with his fist from above.

"『Butterfly Bomber』!"

It seemed the drunk would get what he bargained for, though Duff did not at all expect him to come running toward Duff, although he was fast this could work to Duffs advantage the way he saw it. The minute the drunk said the words 'round two' Duff had extracted his Blades from his left boot. And bent his knees keeping his eyes on Monokibei. Duff seemed to think he wouldn't even need his new found powers to handle this fight. Duff stretched his left leg back awaiting Monokibei to come close enough "hee hee heeee, it doesn't matter how fast you are, I still have the upper hand here see.." he said pretty much to himself since he wasn't speaking very loud. 

When Monokibei was in position Duff made his move Duff jumped in the air while Monokibei himself was airborne with a bright smile on his face, he would try to duck under his arm and follow up with a swift round house kick with his bladed boot in attempt to slash Monokibei's arm all together. If he had succeeded in landing this hit time to duff would seem to slow down to duff in his eyes, time itself not actually slowing down. as he is landing onto the ground he keeps his smile up and watched the line of blood in their air followed by the movement of his boot. Upon landing he would retract his blades and stick his landing then would turn his around to look at Monokibei to see what condition he was in. Duff would let out a small chuckle as he turned around "Idioooot, did you forget about my blades? Don't you realize you will get cut up messing with me? I see...you really are unfamiliar with who I actually am...I will make sure you remember the name...Strong Hat Duff" he said before he himself charged at Monokibei in attempt to plant his blades in Monokibei's torso area, depending if he was still looking away from Duff or not.

Taki sighed, turned around and walked to the building. She was going to miss a bit of the fight, but if the big nosed man was fast enough to outpace her (which, though surprising around these parts, wasn’t all that hard to do amongst stronger fighters) he would have a distinct upper advantage, so she’d put her money on him. “..Do your fight quietly.” she called out as she found a spot in front of a building that she could lean upon.

Sitting down, she let out another sigh, and looked toward the fight. The kid was trying a roundhouse kick, though she closed her eyes for a snooze before she could see what would happen afterwards. She swore, if they made more noise, they were going to very, very much regret it. However, she was going to give them the benefit of the doubt at times, she wasn’t sure how they were going to wake her up without agitating her but she was keen to wait and find out.

She twisted her rump on the ground into a comfortably position, locked her fingers together on her stomach, and kept her eyes shut for a rest.

Ouch, that was gonna leave a bit of a mark on Monokibei. The blade unexpectedly caught the drunk off guard and cut him a little bit. Wasn't anything too serious, but it did hurt like a bitch and rip his favourite jacket. After he landed on the ground, he checked up on the wound that he carelessly got. Oh well, time for a drink to ease the pain. He opened his gourd and took a nice swig of alcohol before splashing some on his wound. Don't want it to get infected; who knows where that boot's been stepping in?

"A'ight, ya got me," Monokibei sighed as he turned around with a smile on his face. He casually strolled over to Mr. Duff, still looking and acting all high and mighty. Goddamn if he wasn't so smug about landing a scratch, Monokibei wouldn't feel like pummeling him to a pulp. But he was quite the overconfident lad and he needed to be put in his place; for his own good. He stopped just out of the reach of Duff's legs and cracked his neck.

"You sure are right; I don't know who the bloody hell you are. I'll make sure you remember my fist handing your sorry ass back to you!" The drunk retorted violently as he simply stood there with both of his arms and his body positioned in a fighting stance once again. He knew what he had to do to beat this butt down into the ground; it was pretty obvious and shouldn't be too hard seeing as Monokibei was clearly harder, better, faster, and stronger than Duff by quite a bit.

Seeing as Monokibei had just jumped out of Duffs range, then they were sure to be a few feet close to each other, enough for Duff to hear what he said and enough for Monokibei to hear what he would soon say. Duff retracted his blades right before he hit the ground, preventing them from getting stuck. he both of his hands on the ground as he listened to what Monokibei had been telling him. Duff still had his usual, crazy smile on his face. He slowly stood up straight, his head tilted and his arms laid loose.
"bwahahaha...You talk a really big game...almost makes me scared...nah not really" right after he Duff said that he punched his left fist into his other hands palm, looking down, then slowly looked up again to look at Monokibei
"Alright, you think yourself that much better than me do you?....idiot..." Duff let his own fist go and raised his fist up and put his other arm down, his head looking some what more upward than one would usually look "I thought I'd wait till I got to the good o'l grandline to test out my new toy..." a dark aura slowly surrounded Duff, his arms and shoulders, his legs and head, it was as if dark fire aura were around his entire body.

"It was something I ate, bwahahahaha!" he said he slowly raised his arm up to the sky "let me show you..." right before Duff was about do a...move? or something he gasped "hn!..." he turned his head to look behind him for a few moments "Almost forgot" the darkness completely disappeared from his body, he stood straight like a normal person
"Oi, it looks like you get to live longer dead breath guy! heh heh heh heh!" he said laughing he turned around and started walking away "hnn it really sucks my plan didn't work out with that pretty orca woman!...sigh" he said holding his hat onto his head, he then looked back to monokibei  "I have a lot to do before I get to the grandline, I still need a crew, they are out there you know...waiting for me. They may not know they are joining me but they will...whether they know it or not..." 

he then lowered his head a bit, putting on a much more sinister smile "Or...whether they want to or not..." he got further and further away from Monokibei "I'm their captain, they're out there...I can't let em down..."

Taki’s eyes twitched with each word. They just.. Wouldn’t.. Shut.. Up. Taki could practically feel the vein throbbing in her head, she wasn’t looking at the fight because she was trying to sleep, but she couldn’t sleep because of the fight. She should’ve just beat the two down while she was in the middle of it. Grunting, she’d open her eyes and place her hands on the ground, pushing herself up. She stood up, stumbling a bit before beginning to walk to the two.
 
She caught the ‘pretty orca woman’ comment, but she didn’t care, he had held his hat onto his head and was paying more attention to the big nosed one. She would stomp toward the especially loudmouthed one, actually, they were both loudmouthed, but the one she saw first. “Shut the hell UP!” she’d say. She’d aim to land a pretty brutal slap to his side fro, behind, aiming to propel him away from her, she didn’t care how far. Even the motion of swinging her arm around to him would probably send some wind to Monokibei, and Duff too if he managed to dodge or otherwise get around it.
 
“I’m sick of your noise!” she’d seethe, aiming to deal a full-powered punch to the ground, causing it to sink a little a few meters around and produce a very large amount of air and dust.

Wow this guy loves to talk big, doesn't he? Really annoying big talk, too. As Duff blathered on and on about something this and something that, power levels, blah blah blah, king of all blah blah blah super pirates, Monokibei just zoned out there for a minute. When he realized that he wasn't focusing on the fight at all, he snapped back to reality only to find that he wasn't the center of attention anymore. Weird, odd, strange, very weird indeed. Normally, any smart person would love to take a whack at an unfocused fighter but this guy seems like he wasn't worth the time. Wow, the feeling is really mutual.

Monokibei looked at him strangely. He was walking away from the fight? Holy shit, what kind of backwards-thinking kid is this? If he's so freakin' powerful as he claims to be, why the hell doesn't he fight? This sheer act of overconfidence and arrogance baffled and angered the drunk so much that it left him speechless. He let out a long, drawed-out sigh and pinched the bridge of his nose before taking a nice, long swig of whiskey to help him calm his nerves. This boy...He didn't even know where to start with him. Whatever, at least it was all over, even if Monokibei didn't get a good fight like he had hoped.

Suddenly, he felt a heavy gust of wind catch him off guard. The hell? There wasn't any wind when the fight was happening. And then the drunk looked back in Duff's general direction, and he saw and heard that Taki was fucking pissed. He almost spat out his drink but hastily swallowed it to curse profanities.

"Oh, what the bloody hell!?" Monokibei yelled as he covered his eyes to avoid getting dust and dirt in them.

Catching Duff off guard Taki managed to send the boy flying! like, one could swear he was a bird or something the way he went out. Taki managed to hit him...pretty far he spun in a perfect spiral out of the area that Taki and Mono were in, oh man this was crazy...how was he going to stick the landing better question how far up was he? he was flying over whole buildings it seemed! pretty scary from duff's point of view!
"Wahahahahaaaa! This feels so weird waaahhh!" he screamed, he hadn't an idea of how he was going to survive this but he had best think of something! this plan of his was definitely taking a sharp turn with all this flying business, well at least he didn't have to smell that drunks breath anymore. Nor would Duff have to find out the hard way how much more powerful this guy was than him. now back to the topic at hand "AHHH!" oh thats right.

Taki snarled as she turned to Monokibei. Bigmouth #1 was gone in one strike, now it was time to deal with Bigmouth #2. He looked confused at the turn of events, as he should. She had absolutely no time for either of them, neither was she going to let them steal her time. Standing up to her fullest height, she would stomp toward the big nosed one. Her large arms and her trunk-like legs flexing in agitation as she made her way to him. Did he really think it was smart to try and pick on someone almost twice his size?
 
Upon reaching him, or should she reach him, she would raise her arm up to her other shoulder, and attempt to backhand him with the same force she used on the other one. She doubted it would actually hit, since he was fast and wasn’t hit by surprise like the other one, but what she did expect to hit was the sharp wind attack that would follow. Her fingernails sliced through the wind thanks to her enormous strength, more than able to attack things from a fair distance away. Unless he was quick, he was going to dodge an attack that’s going to hit him anyway unless he did something smart, which, considering what she now smelt booze on him, he was too drunk to.

Holy shit! One hit and he was flying out of the island like he's been shot out of a cannon! He stared in awe as he saw Duff get smaller and smaller as he flew off into the sky, then he looked at the source of the problem and saw that she was a LOT taller than he had expected. She stomped towards him intimidatingly; she shook the ground as she walked, like she weighed ten tonnes and was putting tremendous force into her steps. What should he do?

Well, Monokibei decided he wasn't going to be intimidated by her large stature and build, and monstrous strength. Taking a swig of whiskey to take the edge off, he bravely met her halfway by also walking towards her. He saw her hand move up, then swing towards him with what looked and felt like the strength of a mountain. Instead of jumping backwards like any normal person would do, Monokibei actually moved towards her and ducked under her arm just in time for it to just graze his scalp ever so slightly! He then decided that the only way to beat this brute was to hit it until it died; that usually works.

Monokibei seized this moment of opportunity by attempting to strike a spot that usually is a little weaker than other parts of the body, assuming that Taki's aquatic body is exactly the same as a human's body. He threw a quick, ten punch burst towards Taki's exposed, right side just under her arm. He hoped that it would at least do something, cause right now, he was low on options on what to do right now.

It looked like her presence left quite an impact on the drunk-looking guy. She began her attack, however he did something that probably only a drunken guy could because it surprised her. Rather than jumping away from her strike, he jumped underneath her arm. It was annoying for her, since he second attack went straight behind him, but it also left her vulnerable, since she couldn’t’ see where he was due to her arm being in the way.
 
She felt punches against her right side, though the mix of blubber and fat around her body somewhat softened the blows, he wasn’t all that strong but he was rather fast, which was annoying. Grunting, she would swing her arm underneath, attempting to catch him where she thought he’d be. Either way, the underneath of her arm was sore, and that made her even more annoyed. Who the hell was this guy that’d just randomly attack people on the spot? She didn’t actually know who was even to blame right now, but she knew she was going to put an end to it.

He's got her on the ropes; She can't do anything but take these hits! As he delivered a final punch to end his barrage of fists, he spotted Taki's large and muscled arm come from his right side, obviously attempting to grab him judging by the open hand and grasping fingers. He quickly dashed to his left to try and avoid it, but he was just a hair too late and his entire right arm was caught in the orca's deadlock grip. Monokibei struggled in vain as he tried to pull himself free from her hand to no avail, the grip was too firm for him to break out of!

Oh shit! Monokibei thought inside of his head. This is not good! This is not good! How the bleedin' hell is this thing so strong?! Her grip's like fucking handcuffs! Ah, bleedin' hell, what is she gonna do t'me?

Taki snarled at the man now finally in her grasp, now the big question was, what should be done of him? Having him simply gone would be great, then she could catch up on some sleep. Beating the everlasting hell out of the fool would take too much effort, from how fast she was, who knew how long it’d take for him to be unconscious? With a regretful sigh, instead of taking out her agitation on the guy, she instead looked further inland and flexed her arm, before attempting to throw the guy away in a half-arsed way. Who knows where he’d end up, but Taki at least hoped it wasn’t where she was right now.

Monokibei was anticipating something brutal from the fish lady, and was ready to try and dodge the best he could considering his situation (which wouldn't be too well). Really, he didn't want to die like this. However, his expectations were averted when she flexed her arm really hard and flung poor old Monokibei out into the sky!

"Holy shi-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhh!" The drunk yelled out as his voice slowly dissipated into the distance from Taki. He was sky high and he could feel the wind on his face, the rush of adrenaline coursing through his veins, and then suddenly a huge splash and a rush of cold water cover his entire body! The drunk resurfaced from the lake he conveniently landed in and breathed a sigh of relief. Man, that could've gone worse if he had landed anywhere else BUT this conveniently placed lake. Not questioning anything any further, Monokibei casually climbed out of the lake and calmed himself down before making his way back into town. This time, he wasn't going to bother with fighting and was just going to relax for the remainder of his visit.
