Mistletoe Marines: A Welcome Wanderer 4157

Mistletoe Marines
"Drinkin' Sulking & Kicking Ass"

Sitlavna Isle Grand Line::.
Winter Island::.
11:43PM::.

They said winter was coming and they'd been right.

Same the leader of the Mistletoe Marines and Rear Admiral in the Navy had gotten it mixed up with Wynter.

After the embarrassment in his rush to the island and it was explained that he was nothing more than an idiot who needed something better to do with his life than hunt big criminals & drink himself into oblivion Seff decided he'd hang out for a little on the island of Sitlavna and do the only thing he'd become good at after Arken's death and his time on Burgandy where he was stuck trying to stop former Marine Commodore selling naval plans & equipment to pirates. It had been a hell of a time trying to clamp down on all of the pirates with military equipment, but by the time they were all gone things were getting back to normal. Good old normal boring.

Surely it wouldn't be too long before he was needed for something exciting again though right?

Finishing off the final bottle at the bar known as Polar's Ice Cave Seff placed the bottle of cider with the rest. All eighteen of them. Then he finished the two shot glasses which sat before him and placed them to his right with the other twenty three. He'd been drinking for a good few hours straight and was growing seriously drunk. Even though the bar tender had waved him off asking him to leave the bar Seff wasn't going anywhere. He'd spent enough time trying to find the right stool and now he was here, he was here for the long run.

He'd seen over a thousand pirates meander in & out but not said a word because he was just figuring it all out in his head. As the doors burst open and a breeze blew in the other people who were enjoying their drinks in the warmth shuddered, but Seff. He was used to this shit and the alcohol helped quite a bit too.

So far from what he'd gathered there was a robbery at a local bank under way and they were trying to get reinforcements because the Marines were winning the war. Good thing too cause the way these guys were going about their robbery and sorting themselves out they were going to need to learn a thing or two about organisation their attempt was almost just as bad as a crime and Seff felt like drumming it up as a fake charge to arrest them but their time would come soon enough.

The bank they were currently robbing from was First national which ironically had been the second bank to open up on Sitlavna Isle. It had just been set back a few times during construction and by the time it had been built it was no longer the first but the second. Shame the way things work out. With five armed gun men in the bank a shit load of marines outside the front door armed to the teeth and little to no reinforcements coming for the bank robbers who were currently undergoing a real problem it was clear this was one war the Navy had won over crime in Sitlavna Isle.

Seff would have to be the one to capture the master mind who was actually too cowardly to even attend the robbery but would rather sit and drink waiting for them to come to her.

Inside the bank was Johnny Rotten armed with a Winchester rifle at the front doors behind a large desk they'd moved into place, a nasty criminal with a set of nasty choppers Mistletoe Marines: A Welcome Wanderer 0mvFA 5,000 Next up was the Cavalry Kid armed with eight smoke bombs strapped across his chest, five revolvers one on each leg, one under each arm and one on his chest and a shotgun which hung from his back. Despite being fully loaded he didn't have the greatest agility in the world due to the amount hanging from him, but still pretty good for a kid of just seventeen. Mistletoe Marines: A Welcome Wanderer 0mvFA 80,000 third was Lady Greystone, calls herself Lady as she likes to think of herself us upper class even though she has more rotten teeth than she's had hot dinners. Armed with a Winchester rifle herself she has a hell of an eagle eye and even a pretty face, but as mentioned before a shame about the teeth. Mistletoe Marines: A Welcome Wanderer 0mvFA 3,500,000 Then there's Buckaroo Ball or as the Navy like to call him Bullseye Bill. Not because he's a hell of a shot but because he's the easiest to hit out of the bunch. He's a big guy who may as well have a bullseye painted on his chest. Always running out with a baseball bat he doesn't seem to realize he's a big target. All in all he's probably taken about a good thirty two bullets throughout his entire criminal career. Mistletoe Marines: A Welcome Wanderer 0mvFA 550

Lastly there is the leader of their little gang whilst in the bank whose the not so great Bulldog. Armed with a machete, two revolvers and a pocket full of dynamite he's pretty lethal. Of course that is when he's alive and not lying behind the bank teller's counter with a crimson red bullet to the brain and a goofy look on his face Mistletoe Marines: A Welcome Wanderer 0mvFA 8,000,000 and one lucky guy is going to be the man collecting this reward. Question is who?

And with reinforcements of two shitty marksmen who were so shit they couldn't join the team setting up position behind the Navy barricade out front chances are these two are going down with the rest of them.

Raising his hand for another drink Seff quickly slid a note over to the bar tender who hands him another bottle of cider which he cracks open with his bare hands.

Its always better cold.

Charlotte shivered as she sat on top of the roof top with a cold mug of hot chocolate and a shawl that barely sufficed to keep her warm. She really, really didn’t like this island, either due to its cold climate or because she had the misfortune of being on it during the winter, but of COURSE she had to stay on the rooftops. Apparently they didn’t have many good climbers, but at least it was dark, and she could work easier on any.. Wrongdoers?

There was some bank being robbed up ahead and most of HQ had been emptied to go deal with it. Her shawl was made from her own webbing since they still hadn’t broken out the winter gear yet, (or at least, they told her that they hadn’t) so she had the feels for the blockading people. She heard over the den den mushi that they had guns, so she was going to be as far away from that kind of job assignment as possible.

She gulped. Being one of the rare rooftop people right now, she could see the two behind the barricades. She assessed the situation, they couldn’t’ see her, she could see them, good. She could get up close to them, without them shooting the everlasting hell out of her, good. She’ll go with that. She pulled the shawl closer to herself and jogged along the rooftops. Since she didn’t need her umbrella, she could focus fully on being sneaky rather than trying not to get caught in something.

Mid-jump from one building to another, she grew a chitin plate along her chest, head and so forth, spider legs grew from her back as she changed into her normal hybrid transformation. Scuttling toward the two marksmen behind the barricades, she tried creeping up behind them. She tried to listen in on whatever they were saying, since she was going to deal with one after the other, she had to hit one while the other was talking, if they were talking at all. Hopefully they were too busy looking through whatever scopes or ironsights they were aiming through to notice her.

Should she find a good opportunity to not get caught, she would attempt to sneak behind one of them, trying to place her hand over his/her mouth before biting into their neck to allow the paralytic venom to take its toll, before moving to the other one to do the same, if she wasn’t caught that is.

Mistletoe Marines: A Welcome Wanderer OeqouWC

With a den den mushi sitting on the bar before him Seff continued waiting for the all clear from the soldiers out front of the bank. It was a nice simple job he'd found himself. Wait for the all clear then arrest the ring leader before she scrambles away flustered. It wasn't like she'd get very far. Especially not with Seff on her tracks.

As Seff took a large gulp from his drink he let out a loud burp which gained a few disgusted looks followed by the sudden realization of his presence by the ring leader who still had no idea who he was. But she clearly saw something she could exploit as she approached Seff pulling up a stool right next to him, despite the nine empty stools littered all around the bar.

"Well, hello . . . "

"Would you rather I arrest you now or on you're way out when you're little band of bandits fail to get away with your loot?"

A sheer expression of shock & horror spread over her face.

This was the ring leader Jezabelle Julip, a coward with a good brain on her that had taken a beating too many from the narcotics ring she'd once been a part of. Destroying her brain and picking it to pieces she found herself in these predicaments quite often.

Getting up to leave she found around her wrists tightly wrapped after a quick slap from Seff was a pair of handcuffs.

She wasn't going anywhere.

"If you're going to do a crime, be prepared to run the risk of doing the time."

Looks like no more waiting. Seff wasn't growing impatient but he sure was getting bored of waiting for these bandits to hit the floor before their leader hit the road.

Mistletoe Marines: A Welcome Wanderer NOQ03Q5

"I can see the Marines down there, but I don't know who to shoot first?""

Rolling his eyes Roland would peer over the barricade on the rooftops to look into the bank. he could see a few of their fellow bandits struggling to stay alive with all the gun fire concentrated on them. Looking over the soldiers he figured he could do better.

"You're useless with that bloody rifle, give it 'ere!"

Snatching the rifle away from Jesop he'd feel a little disheartened but not enough so that he'd accept the mistake that Roland was about to make. But he'd be more than willing to try and stop him.

"Are you sure you know who? Because they'll catch on to us if you hit the wrong people."

"I'm not some retarded twat like you Jesop. I can actually fire a rifle without knocking my own front teeth out."

Feeling the sting of shame from a previous accident Jesop leapt back with a defensive reply.

"That happened one time!"

Taking his aim and a deep breath Roland prepared to take his first life.

"One more time than me numb nutts!"

This was when suddenly a hand would cover Roland's face & teeth would sink into his neck. Grunting in pain as the teeth sunk in Roland's eyes widened and he fell limp looking up at the hybrid spider chick who'd brought him, fear, tears & paralysis.

Screeching in a high pitch tone Jesop looked up at Charlotte with terror in his eyes before she did the same to him and he lay beside Roland petrified and paralyzed with not just fear but an arachnid toxin too.

"Jesop, Roland! Are you guys there?! Why aren't you taking the shot!?"

A voice would call out from a snail phone buried within their pockets. It was clearly a voice from a bandit inside. They were struggling to escape and by the looks of it weren't about to get very far.

Her teeth managed to find both criminals’ necks without being shot. The paralysis managed to do its job well as usual, they wouldn’t be able to move for a couple of moments, which was more than enough time to spin them up. She began to lick the spider-like protrusions from her back, hopefully they hadn’t been anywhere without her knowledge, painting them in an oily substance so they wouldn’t get trapped by her own webbing. Reaching behind her, the spinneret got to work, making a thick glob of webbing that she wrapped around the two together, since doing them separately would take time.

Should she so be successful before the paralysis coursed on, she would have them both wrapped up tight from the neck down, since she was more happy with capturing them than killing the two through suffocation. Suddenly she heard a voice, she looked to where it was coming from, it looked like the two had something in their pockets. She wouldn’t have known what to say anyway, so she grabbed the two and scuttled down the building, hoping to bring the two to the marines blockading the bank.

Should she manage to reach it without being shot for being a giant spider, she would dump them in front of the person in charge, turning back to her normal form. “U-uhm.. I s-saw these t-two a-aiming t-t-toward here.” She stammered, it being worse due to the cold weather. “U-uhm.. I t-think they w-were a-aiming h-here. T-they weren’t w-wearing un-niforms.” she’d continue, crossing her arms and shivering.

"You better let me go-" Julip shouted tugging at Seff's arm trying to drag him along and make her escape of which unfortunately she was too weak to do.

"And why's that? Cause your merry band of half assed hunters will shoot me up?"

Looking at Seff with eyes wide open she started to realize there was more to him than meets the eye, not only was he strong but he knew more about her than any other soldier or pirate she'd faced off against.

"How do you know so much about me?" she questioned curiously.

"I do my research, best to have an inside knowledge of a large variety of criminals than loads on one and only one. Anyway I didn't come here for you but the man named Wynter."

"WYNTER?!"

Seff nodded and finished his drink.

"Yep, shame he's not here though."

"You mean to say you wish to challenge that sociopath and bring him to justice?!"

"Pretty much." this sent shivers down Julip's spine. She'd never considered herself a big name but when she heard that a man who was seeking Wynter had captured her she counted her chances of escape as nil and felt a little star struck that this might be the man to bring him to his knees.

Mistletoe Marines: A Welcome Wanderer NOQ03Q5

"ROLAND?! JESOP?!" the voice continued shouting.

Due to the marine barricade focusing their fire on the bank the bandits never got a chance to open fire and continued to take cover only peeking out through the tiniest of holes and taking pot shots to bring each soldier down. It'd be time consuming and if they weren't quick they'd be heading down the same path as their leader Bulldog.

With Charlotte having delivered the two men to the soldier in charge he quickly turned to face her. With rounded lens sun glasses on & a shaven head and clean shaven face he had a deep cross shaped scar on his left cheek and a rounded head with a chin that was very prominent and stuck out quite a bit. Looking down at Charlotte as he towered over her quite a bit he then looked at the two gentlemen and heard the shouting coming from their pockets.

Placing a heavily scared hand on Charlotte's shoulder he smirked.

"Spider Zoan eh? We might just have a job for you."

Clicking his fingers the admirable Captain Surloin waited for two recruits to run his way, when no one did he turned angrily to the firing squad.

"When I snap my fingers that means two of you come here!"

"But captain we couldn't hear you over the gunfire." slamming a fist into the recruit's head he made his point clear. "Sorry sir what was it you wanted?"

"Cuff these men to the fence over there then accompany Charlotte to the rooftop of the bank. I have a special assignment. Make sure you take four other soldiers with you. We're going to end this attempted bank robbery once and for all."

With a grin on his face and a twinkle in his eye he looked at Charlotte with glee.

The captain made a creepy smile and placed his hand on her shoulder, which caused her to flinch. She managed to bring the two to the blockade before they caused some mayhem with their positioning. The captain clicked his fingers, but whatever was supposed to happen.. Didn’t happen. He went and shouted at the recruits, before hitting one and getting some to deal with the two.

Uhm..” She’d mumble as she looked at the two webbed up like the cream in an éclair, with only their heads visible, trying to get through that’d be tough, since it was as strong as iron. “T-The r-roof?” she’d ask, shivering. She really didn’t want to get caught up in the robbery, she had the power of.. Spider-ness and had two swords, the people inside probably had guns and who knows what else? The whole situation was probably not in her favour, fi she webbed one up, another would notice and eeeueghghghn.

However, she supposed she couldn’t refuse a direct order, since that pension was needed. “O..Okay..” she’d say, not quite liking the look In the Captain’s eyes, as well as his grin. Then again, it might be a good twinkle, like she was going to be promoted after this. “What.. W-what a-am I s-supposed to d-do?” she’d ask in the unrelenting cold.  Once told, she would shuffle after the marines, should they have trouble reaching the roof, she would return to her spider hybrid form, before scuttling up it, aiming to help the others via webbing their hands and pulling them up. If that is done and so forth, she’d remove it so they could do.. Whatever.

Mistletoe Marines: A Welcome Wanderer OeqouWC

"Well look, I wish you luck in capturing such a sociopathic kid and think that if you're that eager to capture him you should be spending your time searching for him ideally instead of sitting here cuffed to me!"

"Funny that, I heard some other pirate tell me that just the other day. But I didn't tell him I was after Wynter."

"But really you're wasting time here with me!" she would try to convince Seff to leave but it would only fail miserably and he wrist begin to hurt due to how much she was pulling on the cuff. It was hurting allot and really uncomfortable even more so knowing it was just a waiting game before being dragged off to prison.

"Yeh but its nice to sometimes waste time with crooks. Lets you see how they think and who you can expect to be a big player later in the game."

Realizing that he was sizing her up she started to sweat nervously. Not because of other plans she had but because she was making herself look allot worse than she would've liked and ruining her self image. Her strangle hold on the town had been immense one time and then everything had gone wrong and now she was just falling lower than rock bottom. Hurtling into the ground faster than the speed of light.

Reaching for one of the bottles Seff quickly swept his hand into the pile and brought his hand around with an empty bottle. Looking towards his hand in motion Julip shivered as the bottle came extraordinarily close to her face. All she could remember next was the blood dripping from the broken flesh over her face and pieces of glass sticking out scattered all over her face. It was painful but what was more worrying was the lack of sight. She couldn't see a damn thing.

"Let that be a warning to you, to keep your mouth shut." Seff muttered to Julip who started to cry soft gentle tears that streamed down her cheeks.

Mistletoe Marines: A Welcome Wanderer NOQ03Q5

Arriving on the rooftop of the bank the four naval soldiers who'd come with all stood around Charlotte. One of the who was a Warrant Officer and charged with leading the operation spoke out loud giving the orders.

"Captain Surloin has charged us with dropping down and stopping the robbery from the inside. With the use of Charlotte here he wishes to have us climb down in through the sky light and creep up behind the bandits. If we take up position on the Accountancy bridge we should be able to get a clear shot of each of them from behind."

Nodding and understanding each of the other three soldiers loaded their rifles and looked towards Charlotte.

"Right, come on guy. Its time to go."

Using their swords as screw drivers to unscrew the sky light from its position on the roof the warrant officer looked towards Charlotte.

"Right, time to lower us in one by one. No one makes a move until all of us are in position. Once we all have aim then we will give each other the signal indicating we're ready to bring them to justice." crouching ready to climb in Warrant Officer Jackson turned back around to continue. "And remember, non lethal shots. We're not aiming to kill. Only wound."

They finally got up onto the roof, one way or another. She placed her hands on her shoulders as she looked around before finally the warrant officer that was commanding them in the situation. Apparently she was supposed to help them into the shootout and circle around them, which.. Was a nice plan, but she wasn’t sure if it boded well for her, especially if she stayed around too long, she guessed she wold just.. Stay behind some cover during it, or fight someone who’d decide to run up to a bunch of guys with guns even though they likely have guns themselves, which would be weird.

O-okay..” She’d say as she waited for the marines to do their work in unscrewing the windows. She then nodded as it was her turn to do.. Stuff. She would attempt to wrap her arms around the first marine, the extra spider legs taking turns to get licked by her before spinning up a web. She’d attach it to the edge and slowly slide downwards, somewhat upside down. She would attempt to place him gently onto the floor, before climbing back up the webbing. She’d then grab the next one and this time just use the webbing already made as a rope that her extra spider legs climbed down. She would continue the process until everyone was down.

Mistletoe Marines: A Welcome Wanderer OeqouWC

The bar now quiet Seff looked around to see that he'd gained a few feared glances. He didn't like being stared at but neither did he like having a cry girl hand cuffed to his arm. But you couldn't please everyone. Getting to his feet Seff dragged Julip towards the door and picked up his coat from the hanger. A nice big brown one with a fur lining he slipped on over his back before realizing he couldn't put his arms through the sleeves.

Allowing it to hang from his back Seff made his move outside through the doors.

"We're going out there?"

"Yep, gotta find that Marine barricade blocking the bank your fellas are robbing."

Pulling on the cuffs to slow Seff down Julip caught his attention and next a fist to her gut which she grunted from.

"Fine, head down to Weaver Street." she muttered.

Smiling Seff nodded to her.

"Thank you very much Ms. See how much easier things are when you cooperate instead of snide & snarky remarks."

Shooting Seff an evil glare Julip despised him and wouldn't be surprised if anyone else did either. He wasn't like any old bastard. He was a disgustingly annoying and hellish one who deserved a kick to the face & a flame thrower to the crotch shame she'd sold hers.

Mistletoe Marines: A Welcome Wanderer NOQ03Q5

As the last soldier laid his feet on the bank floor's ground each of them took up a position on the floor behind the wall.

Warrant Officer Jackson gestured for Charlotte to join them and begun speaking giving the orders. He held his own rifle in his hands and took a quick peak over the side of the bridge they were on. Looking towards the leader he saw a corpse and grinned.

"Right, from what I can see Bulldog is down. Bullet to the brain, very messy. Johnny Rotten is based at the front to the left, armed with a Winchester rifle, Cavalry Kid is behind the teller's desk armed with a shit load of fuckery for our boys out there. Lady Greystone has the bottom of the stairs up to this bridge armed with her own personal Winchester rifle and lastly is Buckaroo Ball who is sitting behind the desk closest to our barricade. So each of you take up position aiming at one and we'll bring 'em to their knees quicker than you can say Sasquatch! Everyone ready on my mark. Wait for my signal."

Positioning himself on Buckaroo Ball Warrant Officer Jackson watched each man get into position and then gestured to Charlotte.

"Charlotte give me a hand with Buckaroo Ball. Take aim and shoot him with me. He'll probably take a few shots to bring him down."

Finally, they had each made their way down there without getting caught and therefore killed. She crouched down and looked around, noticing one of their corpses and shuddered. Just a bullet in the head, and he was gone. Anyone could just pull a trigger and bam, dead. She at least had chitin on her head, but she never put it up to the test nor ever wished to put it up to the test. In fact, she hadn’t been shot at yet, only sliced. She still had a bit of the scarring from when the blade cut her unprotected parts.

Shaking her head, she paid more attention to the sit rep. Okay, they were shooting to wound, were going to bring a whole lot of pain to their butts. She nodded her understanding before shuffling up to the Officer as she heard her name spoken. “Uhm, but I..” she begins, before remembering her webspinner. She blushed a little as she was doing the equivalent to pointing her butt at the enemy.

She shakily nodded, before facing her back toward the enemy, positioning her bulb so it was facing the large one. Her first shot would attempt to hit him upon one of his hands, then shoot a joint shot toward the wall, aiming to stick him to it. She’d then try and shoot at both of his feet to stick them to the ground. Then, finally, she would attempt to squirt webbing to his eye section. That is, she was hoping to do that.

Mistletoe Marines: A Welcome Wanderer OeqouWC

Walking through what Seff would later describe as a winter wonderland he had a smile on his face and a warm glow in his heart, never mind the rotten spew of human pittance. If you exchanged the prisoner on his arm for a beautiful lady then it would be his ideal dream of a stroll in a wonderland, but unfortunately this was not the case and he was in the Navy arresting criminals taking them to see their fate for their flaws and short comings.

Spotting a street up ahead and a silhouette of what seemed to be a barricade Seff led the way. he wanted to just get this hand cuff off and dispose of this wretched woman who was still so desperately trying to drag herself away or remove the cuff at any cost. Some one should've told her that the navy were one of the most dangerous and powerful forces on the planet and not on she'd be escaping from. At least not easily. Seemed she'd forgotten such things though which was a real shame.

Moving closer to the barricade Seff grinned it was time to hand the leader over and get his reward, not that he needed it of course. Rear Admirals paid pretty darn well especially when you were as good at the job as Seff had been proving to be. But that was probably a way too cocky way to think, but it didn't stop him. He'd been through allot with Arken and even more pressing issues after. Shame he'd never fully recovered.

Mistletoe Marines: A Welcome Wanderer NOQ03Q5

A little puzzled at first warrant office Jackson raised an eyebrow looking at Charlotte and how she was positioned. He started to realize when he remembered Charlotte had eaten the spider zoan. Gross! He didn't seem most impressed until he gave the signal and fire was opened.

A shot to the spine of the Cavalry Kid from First Class Seaman Nichols.
Cavalry Kid: Alive

Brains splattered all over the floor of Lady Grey stone from Seaman Recruit Jazou
Lady Greystone: Dead

Two shots one to each shoulder of Johnny Rotten who was now lying on the floor in agony unable to hold his rifle properly and bleeding out.
Johnny Rotten: Alive

A shot to the neck and pinned to the floor by webbing which had only hit his main body and arms. It probably wasn't what Charlotte had been aiming for but it still worked and allowed easy arrest as Ball wasn't getting up anytime soon. Bleeding heavily from the neck it wasn't certain he'd even make it.
Buckaroo Ball: Alive (For Now)

Stepping into the bank proud that the assailants had been brought to their knees or rather faces Captain Surloin grinned. Placing a foot on Ball's head he summoned Warrant Officer Jackson and his team down.

"Good job men. Threat abolished! Its time we bring these fools in for questioning about their leader."

Having arrived at the barricade Seff had been waiting for just the right time to reveal his little surprise. When the Captain made mention he was sitting on a barrel as part of the barricade.

"No need. This little lady's the leader behind the operations. Saw her give those two back the a okay to come and gun down your boys and even heard her conspiring with other colleges about how this robbery will allow her the opportunity to seek bigger and better things. Shame her rag tag team were as useless as she is at picking locks"

Mistletoe Marines: A Welcome Wanderer Empty Re: Mistletoe Marines: A Welcome Wanderer

Charlotte blushed a little as the Warrant Officer raised his eyebrow as she pretty much just raised her butt up at the enemy. Her aim was about as good as a person shooting webbing out from their behind while having to look over their shoulders. However, they managed to deal with what they were meant to deal with, unfortunately one of the recruit’s aim was as good as hers, and one of them died. Which, of course, was the woman, so that didn’t help her chances of getting out of this event alive. However, luckily the jinx should wear off in the two minutes when the whole thing is finished.

Then the whole thing is finished, since the Captain came in. She changed back to her normal form and kept her webbing tight around her as she tagged along. Then some guy came along, who said he’d managed to capture the leader. “Uhm.. Guess it’s a good thing I came when I did, then.. I g-gues..” She’d mumble to herself, not really making any attempt at making herself heard. However, at least the guys managed to get out with minimal casualties, maybe some of them may even count to the bounties she’d gotten. She just stayed behind people and let others take the glory, she really wasn’t sure if she wanted to come out of the shell yet. Or if she ever was.

As the news passed on to Captain Sirloin Seff grinned. Looking Seff up and down Captain Sirloin seemed less than pleased and to be perfectly frank didn't even seem to know who Seff was. This was made most clear of all when he asked a simple question.

"Who are you?"

The jaws of his men dropped and their eyes widened in shock. How the hell did they know who this guy was but Sirloin didn't!

"YOU DON'T KNOW WHO THIS GUY IS?"

Turning to look at his men Sirloin shook his head.

"Mistletoe. Seff Mistletoe. I'm a Rear Admiral and the leader of the Mistletoe Marines. Used to follow under Captain Arken's rule."

Sirloin continued to stare at him blankly as if he was talking a different language.

Bursting into laughter Seff shrugged this off. As the soldiers from the bank exited to join the group outside they brought the criminals along with them. The leader of whom Seff had brought with him spotted her team down for the count and started to shiver.

It was as if she couldn't believe her team could be beaten or couldn't comprehend seeing them in the current state.

"I came to this island by mistake. But whilst I'm here I figured it would be a good opportunity to pick up a few crew mates. So if its ok with you Captain Sirloin would you mind if I took a few from your large crew here?"

Warrant Officer Jackson felt good about working with Charlotte as she seemed to be a good skilled marine. Grinning as he looked at her and had seen what she'd been able to accomplish with pinning down Buckaroo Ball he spoke to her.

"Hey Charlotte, with the skills you have as a spider zoan, you're probably going to go pretty far in the Marines. Good job."

As them team all rushed down to drag the bodies out the other marines spoke about how they would take the bounty for themselves just to prove how good they were. Unfortunately Warrant Officer Jackson was very fair and before exiting the bank this wasn't allowed.

"We each took out each crook in here so the bounties should be split among us all. Each of us getting a far amount. We're a team so we work together and share the profits."

As Warrant Officer Jackson heaved Buckaroo Bill out he seemed to struggle a little but thankfully he didn't have to carry him far.The other soldiers begun to mutter curse words about Jackson not that he really cared though. As Charlotte exited the bank with the rest of them Seff nodded to each soldier who'd come out.

"Seems you guys did a good job in there."

"Thank you Sir Mistletoe" Jackson said as he nodded back to him.

"I suggest we take these guys back to HQ and sit down to a nice cold one."

"Nice cold what?" Sirloin asked giving Seff a weird look.

"A nice cold beer of course" Seff replied smiling allowing his boozey breath to flourish over Sirloin.

"I think you've had enough as it is Mr Mistletoe is it? I can smell it from here."

Looking at Sirloin, Seff shrugged his shoulders.

"I'm on holiday."

He's on holiday and he's still working helping us marine soldiers out?! Sirloin thought to himself curiously. What was wrong with this guy? Didn't he want time to himself? Did he want to always be on the clock or something!?

Charlotte stayed around as the grownups talked, sighing to herself as she waited. The Captain and the new person spoke. Apparently Sirloin didn’t know about the guy as nearly everyone (her excluded) was shocked at what he said about something, meanwhile she kept her eyes fixated on the most innocent of views, such as that lamp. That door. That windo- that had a person in it, she looked off for something less… Person orientated.

She searched for something to stare at before noticing that the Warrant Officer had done the same, except to her, she wasn’t comfortable about that. Though he spoke instead, which kinda made it less creepy. Kinda. “Uhm.. T-thanks.“ she says, glancing at the people pulling the wounded or dead out of the bank. Did they really think they’d be able to get away with it? The robbers, it was a bit of a screwup on their part. Though, she wouldn’t want to see if she could do better for multiple reasons.

She exits the bank with the rest of the people, though keeps herself closer to Jackson, since he seemed like a pretty nice person, and only a little unintentionally creepy. He and Mistletoe spoke to eachother, while she fidgeted a bit in the cold, shivering a little. Though, it was a little bit weird that he was working on the job, she’d have taken that holiday to do as little as possible. Though, some people just do the right thing when in the situation she guessed. “Uhm.. Do you need me for anything else?” she asks, getting ready to make the long walk back to her post. The long walk of about ten to thirty meters.

As Seff mentioned how he'd like to join them carrying the criminals back Jackson looked towards Charlotte who questioned if her help would be needed. Shaking his head he replied.

"I imagine we've a big enough team to manage carrying them back and you can probably return to your post. Same with the rest of this team."

As five of the soldiers picked up the bodies a small team consisting of Captain Sirloin and Warrant Officer Jackson were seen heading towards the Naval head quarters. Seff remained watching Sirloin's crew depart.

"Aren't you coming Rear Admiral?" Sirloin asked looking back at Seff who seemed fixated on each of the subordinates of Sirloin.

"Deepskyblue]Know what I think I'd rather look for crew members among your subordinates. Really give me a chance to train my own team instead of re-training you're superiors."

"Suit yourself sir." Captain Sirloin replied before turning and continuing to lead the way.

Seff however had his eyes on the recruits who were disposable to Sirloin. These were the ones he could really get his hands on to and train to be something incredible.

(( Sorries ))

Charlotte continued to stay behind and keep to herself. Apparently that helped her because no one asked her to help with the bodies, which would’ve been annoying to do. But still, at least she managed to get some bounties today. Or.. a split version of the bounties.

The Rear Admiral who made a surprising appearance hung around and watched Sirloin’s crew work. She let out a small sigh and got to the house she was stationed on. She looked around, before deciding that the alleyway was probably the best place to change since.. People.

She went into the alleyway until she thought no one could see her before transforming into her full spider mode, clambering and clattering up the wall before reaching the top and swiftly returning back to her human mode. She found her little chair as well as a piece of her weaved web and wrapped it around herself again. Gosh, she hated it when it was so cold. It was the only downside of going out at night.

Mistletoe Marines: A Welcome Wanderer NOQ03Q5

Watching each of Sirloin's men leave Seff was proud to see the Naval forces hard at work here in this winter island and felt a sense of pride radiate through his body, however upon arriving on the island he'd already had his eyes on a specific soldier due to her skills that she'd shown in the robbery along side previous missions she'd been on that were documented in her file.

He'd read through about nine others but only ever seen the same sort of thing, there were a few things that made this one soldier stand out differently and Seff wanted to have her as a member of his crew that he was forming. There were some dangerous people out there in the wild but even more so there were dangerous people in the Navy, they just needed a chance to show people how dangerous they truly could be.

Seff sighed as he watched Charlotte sit in her chair with webbing. He'd followed her and beat her to it. As she'd sat down he stepped forward with a file in his hand that read "Ensign Charlotte Spaydyre"

Standing beside the chair he dropped the file at her feet.

"You've had an interesting time in the Marines Ms Spaydyre. Noticed that you are a devil fruit user, a zoan user non the less of the arachnid kind."

Smiling as he looked at her Seff could see just how young she was.

"How long have you been working for Captain Sirloin?" he asked as he crouched down before her curiously looking her over from head to toe. It was always a good thing to know who and what you were dealing with. As he waited for a response he was already thinking of ways to use her abilities to aid in the capture of not just pirates, but revolutionaries and even stop large scale wars from erupting into life.
