Unseen Encounters

The sounds of the village echoed from every point even down the darkest dirtiest alley at the poorest lifeless part of town,people shouting over others at the marketplace,children could be heard laughing and screaming as they ran up and down the street playing what ever game they had made up that day. Even the near by tavern could be heard with the sounds of drunkards partying for one reason or another. But Kaito heard none of this and it was all thanks to the large headphones he wore on his head. wordless music powered over the noise and filled his ears,making him bob his head slightly as he moved between the crowds he could fill people stare at him,as they should who in their right mind wear full winter clothing,gloves and all in the middle of the hottest summer the Island had ever seen? 

But still Kaito seemed to shiver lightly even with his thick coat,maybe it was because of his lack of shoes? But being barefoot gave him an advantage,even with his sightless eyes hidden behind dark sunglasses he could feel and even see the people around him in a way.Much like bats used echolocation, echos of shapes were all around him the vibrations they made just by simply moving gave them away and some of the vibrations even bouncing off the stalls and buildings forming the begins and the bases of them. This was all thanks to his hidden gift,a secret only a handful of people in the government knew about,Kaito was a devil fruit user-a tremor man and it was thanks to this power that he could "see" in this way. But using this power as often as he did came with a curse in itself...

Suddenly a terribly loud growl filled the air,so loud in fact that even Kaito heard it over his music,turning them off he pulled them off letting them rest in their normal spot around his neck before placing a hand on the source of the growl,his stomach. While hi did this he shoved a hand into a pocket of his coat and quickly pulled from it a smallish loaf of bread that was just big enough to fit in his hand. Thats right not only did the devil fruit take away his ability to swim,it also ate away at his energy at alarming speeds,making him almost constantly hungry...But still he made his way through the crowd slowly eating at his bread,his goal was to report to the local Marine HQ of this island...too bad he as going the wrong way... "At least its peaceful today...now was it a right at the tavern...or a left?"He says as he stops in front of said tavern.

"What I don't understand is..." the bartender said looking to a woman with long brown hair, a tight outfit and a bottle of Sake in between her breasts She was sitting on what seemed to be a giant snake with a very nice cow themed hat, the snake was in a swirl formation making it easy for her to sit upon it. The woman quickly retrieved the bottle and held it with one and gulped down sips of the bottle in a chugging position as the bartender continued to speak

"Why you come into a bar...WITH a drink...bought somewhere else?" he said with a seemingly annoyed expression on his face, his fists pressed against the counter of the bar, a few other men seemed to be in on the conversation, mostly surrounding the woman around her...seat if you could call it that. she had finished her very large sip of the Sake and placed it in between her legs she almost never crossed. She leaned her head on a hand as she looked to the bartender with a smile

"The best Sake is always sold from a stand...I don't know you well enough to be drinking here...but being inside is more comfortable than being out...so here I am!" she widened her smile with a small burp. the bartender seemed to only get angrier despite the woman looking how she did. One of the men around her pounded his own fist on the counter.

"Who do you think you are? this may be a public tavern but these places usually are for customers only!" He shouted to the woman

she rolled her eyes and leaned her back onto her snake seat. "Give me a break..." she let out, her face all red from the amount of liquor she had drank

"Listen toots, if you want to stay here you had better pay for a drink! any less then you have to leave!" he pointed to the woman this time. The woman paused for a moment staying leaned back as she was. before looking up

"Nah think I'll stay in here.." she said very calm like as if there had been no anger in the situation.

"Why yo- UGH!" a man who had retrieved a knife from his pocket. "Sorry bout' that.." she said moving a hand through her hair. Her salamander came up from its curled position and swiped its tale at the faces of a few other men surrounding her in an act of offence. "Oh yeah sorry about that too, thought you might hold a grudge for hitting your hostile friend here." She said before standing up straight and stretching just as she saw someone at the entrance of the bar, the bar itself was still a bit loud, it quieted down a bit though from her little...performance.

Kaito decided to enter the tavern to maybe get a drink and ask for directions,before he did though he slipped on some sandals he carried around knowing the high risk of broken glass and other sharp objects that could litter the floor. Once he had them on he walked in and felt half the bar turn to look at him,he hadn't been on this Island long but he had been seen around other marines a few times and it put more then a few on edge.

 But that was soon mostly put to rest once he tripped over a back leg of a chair and was knocked into the bar his hands slamming down into it catching him but marking him drop his cane in the process. Many laughed at this including himself before he used his hand to find an empty stool unknowingly by a certain beauty. "Bottle of sake,if you don't mind" He says fixing his sunglasses before pulling out a cigarette and his lighter the inscription "Love is blind" clearly seen on it. Putting the cigarette to his lips he lit it and took a slow drag from it before letting out the smoke with a sort of sigh.

Juicy had probably been the only one that didn't laugh at the mans countless falls. She went back onto her Snake as a seat, right next to the man. She leaned an elbow on the counter with a smile. Watching him closely. Obviously this man seemed to lack visual sight, not because he didn't notice her but because he seemed a bit TOO clumsy, what else could the cain be for right? When he asked for Sake she attempted to wrap her arm around his shoulder with a bright smile. She'd still be holding the Bottle of Sake in her hand and her chest would be up against the mans shoulder like a pillow. 

"Ah forget this places watered down crap, I can show you where they sell the good stuff" 

She winked, not that he'd be able to see it or anything but she did it anyway. The bartender was on his last straw at this point.

"Damn you woman! now you are trying to drive away my other customers? That is it!"

He shouted

"Oh don't mind him, he acts like that every now and then..." she pressed her cheek to Kaito's, she'd feel his cold skin and he'd feel her warm flesh, of course as drunk as she was she was practically on fire. But she obviously had seen something in this man for some reason, other wise she wouldn't even of noticed him.

Kaito felt an arm wrap around his shoulder before hearing a slightly slurred speech that made him blink. "That is very kind of you miss.." He says with a smile before talking to the bartender "Now now my friend you shouldn't talk to a lady like that,no wonder she doesn't want to buy anything from you.." He says with a chuckle reaching for his cane but only felt air.

Juicy smiled, holding the man a bit closer  and giving the bartender a sly look upon having the man on her side. She snickered before letting the man go and standing up 

"Well at least someone's a gentleman!" she said holding her hands onto her hips, she could see the anger of the Bartender's face, he had reached for a bottle and broken it off of the counter making it a face shredder

"Really? in your own bar? how classy..."

The bartender attempted to hit Kaito with the bottle shouting as he did so.

Kaito reacted quickly bending backwards to avoid the broken bottle seeing its echoed outline miss his face narrowly before his hand shot up and grabed the mans wrist and gave it a heard twist to get him to drop it making it shatter on the floor "Comeon man I'm blind already and now you want to take away my good looks,thats all I got left." He says as he blows smoke into the mans face as his sunglasses slide down showing off his pure white eyes as he still wore a goof-ball grin on his face.

Keeping the smile on her face she grabbed the sake that she had, the one she /didn't/ purchase from the inn while attempting to stand up keeping the mans arm in her hold she looked to him with a smile in attempt to have him stand up with her and probably exit the Inn along side her, looking to him she raised an eyebrow and began to speak
"Come on we better book it before the Marines show up...they don't have a sense of humor much..heh..."

Kaito chuckled as he stood up with his cane in hand feeling the young women leading him towards the door but raised an eyebrow at her comment about the marines. "Now Id think you'd be surprised about that,miss,not all the Marines are as bad as you think" He says with a another chuckle and flicks the ash of his cigarette onto the ground.

She raised her own eyebrow at the man, seemingly defending the marines? Nah..she was overreacting...maybe. Just to make sure she let out a light chuckle as they made it outside the bar. Not as crowded as it had been and the sun was able to be seen, shining off of her slick body and the Slave mark on her arm.

"And how would you know that?" she said with a smile. her grip on the mans arm was not as tight as it used to be.

Kaito paused to take a deep drag of his cigarette dropping it to the ground and crushed it under foot and shook a new one out of the pack he pulled from his pocket along with his silver lighter,the quote "Love is blind"clearly written on it in elegant writing. "It maybe true that some marines can be complete and utter dicks,trust me I know that all to well" He spoke around the new cigarette in his lips as he lights it. "But others only want to protect the innocent,after not everyone can help themselves,so many men and women put their lives on the line to protect the ones that need them and stop others who might be a threat to the people they wish to protect...although...I wish there didn't have to be so many deaths.." He says adding the last part with a sad sigh.
