Appearance:

Sky Reach Island is an island that reaches into the sky. It is like a tree bark sticking out of the ground and into the sky. Ships dock at the bottom of the island and then into the trunk spiraling are a set of stairs which lead up to the island. Atop of the trunk is a large island the ground of which is made up of layers and layers of leaves which are strong enough to hold a town up. On the way up the tree there are a few smaller towns built up by leaves but these are considered to be the slums of the island.The town is known as Sky Reach due to the tree attempting to grow so high. The town is built up of parts of the trunk and thus incredibly susceptible to fire. It is split up into 4 parts. Heaven's Smile - This part of the town is where the soldiers are trained. The soldiers of Sky Reach are called the Half-Way Warriors. They are called this because requirements of being one are that you are born on the island half way between the heavens and hell. This area of the island consists of a large barracks, courtyard and various other buildings to help with their training. Limbo's Ceasefire - This the portion of the town which is in the dead center and heavily guarded. It is mostly for the purposes of governmental issues including issues such as forming alliances with powerful friends pirate or marines. The island doesn't fall under either marine or pirate allegiance. Hell's Frown - This covers the lower hanging parts of the island in which it is considered where the scum live. People who are struggling with making a living. They are often frowned upon for merely existing and called Risen Demons. (Risen Demons - foul people seeking the chance to get better) Pure Purgatory - This covers the rest of the island in which there are various shops, tourist attractions such as the islands scrolls & statues depicting the island's beliefs. Towards the town center is where the scrolls are which are below each statue depicting the island's first Half-Way Warrior, first Fallen Angel & the first Risen Demon.

History:

This island was once a simple tree growing in the ocean but over time it grew to gargantuan size. It was never understood why though. Some say it was an abnormal plant which was destined to grow to such a size whilst others say it is a freak plant. Whilst sailing the seas a young explorer Kasergan came across the plant. In his journey he had been seeking retribution and as he climbed the tree to the top he discovered the beauty from the great height. Never wanting to leave because of his vertigo and feeling that this tree was a sign to tell him that there was a way to reach the heavens he stayed. Building up a town he enlisted help from his fellow travelers. In time they formed a working town atop the tree and with it a belief system.Belief SystemPeople born on Sky Reach are those being offered from the island unto the Heveans and shall be known as Fallen Angels. People who have not been allowed the greatness of being born in the skies and had to wait down here until their time comes. This can be because they are not yet pure enough or old enough. But when they die they move on to the Heavens. People born below the leaves are known as Risen Demons. People who belong below the ground. People who are seeking retribution but do not deserve it because they are unable to change their ways and when they die they will be taken back to the ground they were once spawned from.Kasargan knew that forming this belief he would be deemed as Risen Demon as would many men in his crew and they stated that no one had to know of their past deeds. Whilst the town grew the founders lied of their past and to keep those who knew too much out they branded them as Risen Demons who had managed to find their ways into their management. Claiming that the people of the island were not human but something greater the island was now known to give birth to Risen Demons & Fallen Angels and nothing else. Wanting to keep the island pure Kasargen brought forth the Half-Way Warriors. A group of soldiers who were so deluded in these beliefs that they would fight for the safety of the island no matter what. These soldiers however are so hypnotized that in a second the enemy could be deemed as someone who was a former ally and they will attack like they have always been the enemy with an incredible hatred. In the later years Kasargan died as did the other founders and now the island is currently seeking new leadership.

Corrupt and in the wrong the island is heavily deluded and believes that anyone from anywhere other than the island is that of devilish acts whilst someone from the sky is that of an angel.

The scroll of a Fallen Angel Reads:

Born in the clouds but not yet ready.
Allowed to become they still sit high.
Above filth with the lower few.
Just below the truth.
In time they will become.

Fallen Angels are people born on the island. There is nothing special about them physically. Although a large variety of them have started to tattoo themselves with wings on their backs.

Risen Demons
The scroll of a Risen Demons Reads:

Born in hell fire below.
Denied retribution.
They seek a change they cannot handle.
Deny them forever
Or bring forth your undoing.

Risen Demons are people born on the island below the leaves. There is nothing special about them physically. Although as a violent act of the Fallen Angels especially the Half-Way Warriors when they find one they tend to either brand horns on to their head or cut the letters RD into them so they can always recognize them.

Half-Way Warriors
The scroll of a Half-Way Warrior Reads:

Fighting for safety.
Protecting the weak.
The last defense against the evil.
Void of fear.
You are the Half-Way Warriors.

The Half-Way Warriors uniform consists of black boots, dark green/light green/white cross hatched trousers, white tank tops, green shirts, dark green/light green/white cross hatched coats & Conical Asian hats covered in leaves. Around their waist they have thick green belts which hold 3 smokes bombs and strapped to their backs they often have spears.
