Xio is an average guy standing at 5'10, but his arms are something else. Being a long arm, Xio has an extra joint, which enables him to practically touch the floor without bending over. He's a tan guy, with a dark brown spiky afro up top. He wears dark goggles, to help with combat since naturally his vision was not great.

Being a long arm, he got a custom made, extra long marine jacket. The arms were a little too long, so there is about 1 foot of extra space, hanging down. The jacket is white with blue stripes down the arms (like an adidas jacket). The colors represent the marines, along with the marine symbol in blue as well on his back. Below are blue pants with black boots.


Personality:
Xio is a carefree guy who likes to take his time. He's the type of guy to beat around the bush. Taking his time, he likes to go over every detail. Xio is a very observant person. He wants to receive or give every bit and detail. Being observant and taking your time is one thing, being lazy is another. Xio is pretty much both. He doesn't like to do much work, but will do it anyways. Cooperation is a trait Xio has.

So Xio likes to go over all the details. He can go on and on about anything. Stories about samurai warriors from the Wano Kingdom always pleased him, so he loved hearing stories. What he loves doing even more is telling those stories. Xio likes telling stories, but he also loves simple things such as conversations.

The lazy bum Xio likes to sleep, one of his many forms of slacking off... Xio will do something simple to occupy his time like drinking or anything to entertain him. If there's nothing to do why do nothing and experience it? So Xio decides to sleep past this.

Another habit which he does almost frequently as sleeping, is drinking. He started this when he turned 18, when he was an adult. He hasn't stopped since, in fact it has only gotten worse as he gets tipsy almost everyday, and drunk practically every few days... Drinking so much has made him a heavy drinker.

Xio doesn't get pissed off easily. He doesn't really have any poops to give. If you ridicule him, disrespect him, he won't care. Sticks and stones could break his bones, but words will never hurt him.


Character History


Background
Maches Xio grew up in a small island located in the Grand Line. This island consisted of about 30 long arms. As a child, he learned how to wield a blade. All males were taught. However, Xio was a natural and he loved it. Swordsmanship was mandatory, but Xio would've tried to learn anyways, it was a passion.

Growing up learning the ways of the sword, Xio always wanted to adventure. The sensei strictly disciplined them, and he Xio never did anything wrong growing up. This also is how he became a drinker. The tribe disciplined them not to drink unless it is a ceremony. All this temptation stored too long ended up exploding, making Xio want to set sail, drink, and become a pirate. He wanted to do a lot of things as a kid. Xio didn't exactly wanted to be a pirate, he just wanted to be a warrior and roam the world. Like his favorite stories, he wanted to be a samurai as well. After all, he was still a kid. He didn't have anything planned besides being a swordsman.

When Xio was an adolescent, his persepctive on pirates changed. The long arm tribe was raided by a pirate crew. However, the weak vermin were easily defeated by the talented warriors. Xio watched the swordsmen battle as he was no allowed to. Such admiration he had for them. However. before the pirates were finished off, they kidnapped Xio who was watching nearby. Holding him ransom, they said they would return him after they set sail in exchange for their lives. The tribe agreed, but they never let him go. They took off, with Xio. This was their form of revenge, after their defeat.

Barely a teenager, Xio was abducted by a pirate crew. For several weeks they beat him, starved, and treated him like trash. They were always drunk, and they drank the sacred sake the tribe would only drink for ceremonies. At times, they would bring his daily bowl of scrapes and poor it on the dirty wood floor for him to eat. This wasn't the worst part. The beatings were the rough. They'd all take turns giving him a couple kicks. When angered, they simply let it out on him. Xio wasn't terribly beat daily, but sometimes they would go off on him, knocking him out several times. These weeks were tough. Luckily for Xio, the crew returned to the blues for they weren't strong enough to handle the Grand Line. Stopping in East Blue, they threw Xio out, abandoning him. After practically torturing him, they simply got rid of him. Maybe it was a good thing, that they didn't get rid of him, from the planet...

After he went into town, Xio was eventually put into an orphanage. A kid, long arm or human, wouldn't be abandoned in the dense town. There would always be at least one kind soul in the crowd. One kind woman decided to guide him to the orphanage, and that is how he got in. Socially, Xio was never accepted. He was always picked on and bullied, even by the adults. Not having a sword for quite obvious reasons, he couldn't defend himself and was always defeated as Xio didn't have natural strength. Even if he did beat the kids up, he would probably be kicked out. Nobody liked him, not even the elders.

By the time Xio was grown up and out by himself, he couldn't find a job. During this little phase, Xio began drinking the sacred sake. Xio thought when he was little, when he grew up he'd be drinking free like a pirate. But now, he despised those shit nuggets. So Xio decided to do something constructive. Xio still wanted to give the pirates a lesson. There wasn't really a chance he could find the pirates who abducted him however. Punishing all of them would be good enough. He figured he could also continue his old passion of swordsmanship by becoming a marine. Win win. Maybe along the way he could travel to the Wano Kingdom. He could find a named blade and maybe learn some new techniques.

Xio picked up on his swordsmanship, going right back where he left off. Xio was still a natural and his skills continued to expand as he trained every day. Xio has been in the navy for a year, and is still growing stronger as he is an Ensign now, collecting 200,000 beli from weak, average pirates. And every time Xio is off base, he drinks all he can, getting drunk quite frequently. However, due to the large amounts he drinks, he only gets tipsy. Every now and then, usually once a week, he'll get drunk.


Abilities:
Swordsmanship
In his tribe, all men learned how to use a blade. Ever since he was a little child, he learned to wield a katana. This is how Xio developed basic swordsmanship. After he became a marine, he got even better.

Heavy drinker
Drinking was something Xio was never allowed to do as a child. Only for sacred ceremonies would they be allowed to. Not being a fan of this, Xio always wanted to try alcohol. When he lived in the blues, he drank all he wanted. Eventually this became a habit, and Xio drank all the time. Gradually, he was capable of drinking more and more. Xio drinks any alcohol practically all the time, so getting drunk takes quite a lot..

Resilient
For about a month, Xio was beaten and starved. In his tribe, they always got good meals in, and he got 1 small meal a day on the pirate ship. After he enlisted in the navy, he has to resist the addiction of drinking, even though he still does during every opportunity which is anytime he is out of the base.


Inventory

Weapon: Nodachi

Weapon Description: The nodachi is a long katana, 5 feet long, and the handle is 2 out of those 5 feet. The blade is made from normal steel as well as the hilt, making it strong enough to block attacks. It is a decent blade made of steel, but it is not great.The main flaw with the average weapon, is that it weighs slightly above average, due to the hilt. The hilt is green with white diamond shapes going across it. The blade is grey, going from light to dark at the sharp side.

Weapon History: This blade is Xio's first. As a child he would practice with stick swords. And when he entered the blues he couldn't buy one at such a young age. Even as an adult he could not purchase one without a job. After enlisting in the marines, Xio continued his swordsmanship. He was given a free blade, but he didn't like it. After being promoted to an Ensign, he was offered a better blade, and he happened to receive a Nodachi. The blade is decent, not good enough to be named, but it was defintly out of his budget when he was a normal citizen.

Xio's gourd: Xio carries a small one foot gourd which he drinks sake from all the time.

Combat Information

Weapon Based Combat:
Ittoryu: Reflection
Appearing as if Xio was slashing a foe with his left hand, from right to left, the blade's direction is changed. Coming across with his right hand, Xio redirects the blade downward at the opponent's legs.

Ittoryu: Refraction
With both hands on his blade, both thumbs towards the tip, Xio attempts to jab at the opponent. At first the strike comes straight forward like a boxer's jab. The blade is turned at the last second to bend, piercing the opponent's side and through their stomach.

Ittoryu: Pound
Unsheathing his nodachi, Xio yanks it half way out quickly, attempting to slam the hilt into the foe's gut.

Ittoryu: Double Strike
After slashing the opponent with both hands (both thumbs towards each other) on the blade, Xio attempts to strike again by pounding the foe with the hilt in a swift motion.

Ittoryu: Wheel Slash
Both hands on the sword, Xio spins around to pick up momentum and after spinning once, Xio attempts to slice the opponent.

visiting the wano kingdom is a great part of your goals and personality, but in the history nothing is told of this please add that.

sacred sake sounds like something only in the clans hands, how could he get his hands on this when he had no job, and just grew up?

his personality is quite a contradiction, it is okay but it will be strange in rp. id focus on one or two points instead of a lot would make a stronger character (this is a piece of advice not a requirement)

Sake- The tribe wasn't exposed to the outside world. So they considered this drink magic, but decided to only use it for ceremony. The pirate crew was drinking normal sake, but Xio thought it was their ceremonial drink. He figured out it wasn't when he entered the blues.

Personality- Removed the determination part. So hes just a lazy guy now.

Wano Kingdom- Added a little bit, it is underlined.
