[Open to Fro/Vae-Serious]The Underworld

The sun sat peacefully in the air in the distance. It was somewhere in the morning-area, though it was still a little dark. Mishi opened her eyes, before stretching and looked around. The villa she, Mishi and Billy were in was just your average, small house with windows and curtains, though there were bunk beds and a curtain the separated her from the two males. She sat up in bed, looking around. The light was dim in the house, guess it was time to wake up. Slipping out of the bunkbed, she crept over to the male side, peeking around the curtains. Were they awake yet?

Not bothering to check, she actually hoped they were still asleep, because she left all of her money stashed around the villa, including using Billy and Takao as meat shields for it. She would gently creep around the house, picking money from flower jars, underneath the wardrobe and so forth. After the other two went to bed, she went ahead and did it just in case, she wasn’t about to leave all of her money to a hotel manager she barely knew. She went to Billy, and attempted to lean over him, and tug the beli from underneath him. Should she be so successful, she would attempt to do so with Takao as well, climbing up the bed, kneeling just above him and leaning over in order to get the money from underneath his pillow. If they woke up, a little embarrassing, but she had her beli safe.

Takao was in a deep slumber, drool was trickling down his chin and he was snoring like some sort of beast. He was hugging his trusty guitar as he slept and slowly and gently rubbed it. Seems like he was having sweet dreams.

Billy on the other hand was mumbling "Stay away Takao, you idiot, stop!" with a frightened expression on his face. He was having a slightly worse dream than Takao's. He suddenly awoke, his face was drenched is sweat, and the first thing he saw was Mishi leaning over him.

"H-hey!? What the hell!?" he was startled.

Surprisingly, that loud yell didn't wake Takao at all.

Mishi was rummaging around on Billy’s bead, searching for the money she hid, it didn’t seem to be there. Maybe he accidently moved it in his sleep? She moved further to see if she could find anything over the edge of the bed toward the wall, before she heard a yell. Very, very surprised; Mishi jumped up and smacked her head at upon the top of the bunk, causing her to fall down on top of Billy, rubbing her head. “Owowow… Idiot!” She said, attempting to punch him in whatever general facility her fist could reach. “I hid my money, and I’m trying to find it!” She explained, reaching down the side of the bed, feeling the unmistakeable feeling of paper, she pushed herself forward to reach and grab it, not really caring much for Billy’s wellbeing at the moment, he’d be fine, she wasn’t all that heavy.

Standing up and turning around, she brushed her hair out of the way as she counted the amount, after nodding in approval she started to climb up the bunk bed, there were only two places now that had her money, Takao and the piece of wood on top of the door which led to the bathroom, though she could only reach it via the bunkbeds so she could get both at the same time. “Okay, where did I hide it again..” she muttered to herself quietly, ah! The pillow! Slowly creeping around Takao, she attempted to gently lift the pillow without awaking him and retrieving another wad of beli, though his guitar was a little annoying.

It was an easy task for Mishi to remove the beli from the sleeping Takao since he was currently in a deep sleep. Though he was drooling all over his pillow, which made the pillow all wet and slimy with his spit.

Ew.

He continued to subconsciously rub and hug his trusty guitar, as if it were a lost family member which he had just found. Whilst he rubbed the guitar, he muttered:

"Number one.."

Perhaps he was having a great dream?

“Gross.” Mishi muttered to herself as she flipped up the underside of the pillow which hopefully wasn’t covered in saliva. Takao just… Smelled, and he sleeps in his clothes. Shakingn her head, she grabbed her money and moved up the bed, clambering around the guitar and reaching over and taking the last bit of cash, moving backwards, she had about enough of being on the top bunk.

“Time to wake up, Takao!” She said, as small revenge for him being so.. Ew, she jump-sat onto wherever-his-guitar-wasn’t, and used the return-bounce to get off the bunk and onto the floor. Okay, now she just had to go get her clothes and return the pyjamas. “Come on, Billy.” she said, opening the door and walking around until she found the place to collect her stuff, taking it she walked back to the house and used the shower room to change her clothes. Once done, she would hide her money over various places of her body and wait at the door. “Time to go.”

Takao groaned a little as Mishi told him to get up and awake, getting up in the morning is always a drag so you can see why Takao hated it so much. But he had to, staying in bed all day wasn't gonna help his ambition to become number one musician. Billy was also puzzled on how his loud yell didn't wake Takao yet Mishi's much more quieter approach did. Whatever, he wasn't complaining or anything.

Takao hopped out of bed and done a few stretches, he was wearing the same clothes that he was wearing yesterday and the day before that... and the day before that. As you can see Takao isn't the most fashionable person and only likes sticking with one style.

"Alright! I'm wide awake, let's get to it!" Takao said, as he wore a wide smile on his face.

She guessed Billy did stuff.

"Okay, we're going underground, no marines, no agents and no worries." She said, closing the door, and bringing the key to the counter of the hotel. Obviously she paid the night beforehand, and walked around, hoping that Takao and Billy wouldn't deviate from their path. She would walk across a bridge toward one of the towns closest to the marines. Walking behind a building, she leaned down and flipped over a sewer crate. "Okay, let's go." she said, clambering down.

"Right behind you!" Takao said as Mishi returned the hotel key back to the counter.

He was itching to see how this underground place looked like, according to Mishi, it was a place where they could unwind and relax. He hoped she was right, he didn't want yet another marine chasing after them... well, he kinda did since it made things more lively but Billy and Mishi sure didn't. As Takao followed Mishi across the bridge, he tried to picture the underground place in his head. Blue skies, beaches, fresh air. Ahh, the underground was looking real sweet.

Though why would their be Blue skies and beaches down under? That didn't matter! If it was a fun place then that's all that mattered! He watched Mishi flip over a sewer crate. It was down in the sewers!?

...

Takao sighed and followed Mishi down, Billy did the same.

Despite being a sewer, the ‘Underworld’ looked pretty clean, the place was illuminated by torches and burning incense that masked the smell of  waste. Where the sewage SHOULD be flowing along, instead there’s a glass that goes along the floor so you can only see the waste, rather than touch it. The sewer would be quite large, and the ladder would be around twenty-thirty feet down.
 
Once she reached the bottom, Mishi would wait for the other to get down. “Don’t forget to close the lid!]/color]” she would call up. Once satisfied, she would walk along the right of the place, turning a corner they would soon come across a large bazaar-like place it would be light, it would be warm, there would be many people running, hurrying, walking lounging lazing and storming about.
 
“Uhm.. I’d ask how much something costs first, they overprice things and don’t show it until its on the table, especially with food.” Mishi said, walking across the isle, “And watch your purse.. Or wallet. I’m going to a pawn shop, anything you two want to do?” She asked, there would be loads of different shops and stuffs around, from simple curiosities from around the world to… Lewd places. It generally had everything but human trafficking houses.

As Takao and Billy climbed down into the sewers, Takao heard Mishi call to him. He was too high up to hear her quite well so he decided to climb down so that he could hear here more clearly. Once he was down, he hopped off the ladder and dusted off his clothes.

"Now, what was it you wanted?"
"She asked to close the lid, idiot. I done it, don't worry."
"Oh, I knew that."

Billy shook his head once again at Takao's idiocy. Things always went like this, Takao messes up, Billy or Mishi cleans up after him. He needed to be more independent in the future, it's like looking after a 6 year old. A dumb 6 year old might I add. The group continued down the surprisingly clean sewers, heck, it was cleaner than Takao's room. As the group continued down, the sound of voices grew louder until they finally came to a large bazaar-like place.

"I'm gonna look around to see if anything catches my eye." Billy replied to Mishi's question.

"And I'm going to... buy some food!"

Mishi hummed as she walked off, she had a few reservations for letting Takao and Billy walk around the place, yes it was safe… From the marines. Wait, did they even have their own money any more, or were they using hers? She had most of her money on her, but she still had to check the overall balance. She walked down a hallway, some men walked toward her. “I’m a fence, back off.” and they immediately did, after all.. Who would try to try to rob someone as essential to crime as her profession?

 

She wondered what kind of place would like the ivory she had… Ah! She noticed a nice store that sold all kinds of things. She walked inside. “Hello, ma’am. Looking to buy something?” Hi, I believe this is made of Ivory, how much…” And the price war began.

 

Meanwhile…

 

“Hi. You. Yes, You. You. Hi!” a man called to Takao, waving toward him. “You want food? I have food! Special food! Mystical food! Devil fruit! Very rare, come here!” he said, frantically waving to Takao repeatedly. He had quite a selection of fruits, but one stood on a pedestal, it really just looked like he took a melon and smashed at it with a hammer.

Takao wandered along the busy paths, his hands rested behind his head and his elbows up. He whistled a small tune whilst he looked around for any kind of food, though his vision was limited due to all the people walking around. Suddenly, a man called out to him and waved as if he was gesturing for Takao to come and visit.

Takao was feeling a bit skeptical about it, a random man calling out to him? Only an idiot would go. Though when Takao spotted the food, that changed everything. A random man calling out to him with food... this was different. Takao obeyed and approached the man. He looked at all the weird fruit, it was nothing he had seen before. That made it even more exciting! Takao rubbed his hands together and licked his lips.
He heard the man call this fruits special, interesting. It was time to try these "special" fruits.

"Can I try one for free..?" Takao asked the man whilst imitating a puppy's eyes.

"Nonono. Ten thousand beli, just one taste'll make it lose its power." he said, shaking his head rapidly. "It's the chocolate-chocolate fruit, lets you make infinite chocolate! See? Here." he pulls out a devil fruit encyclopaedia and shows to Takao the description of the fruit, though purposely places his fingers over the picture. "See? See? What was the price again? Ah yes, fifteen thousand beli. But for you, five thousand." he said eagerly.

Meanwhile, Mishi was doing.. Stuff.

"That's awesome! I can have infinite chocolate!?" Takao yelled surprised that such a beautiful fruit existed.

If he buys this fruit, it's like he's buying an infinite amount of chocolate! He rubbed his hands together as he looked at the other fruits beside it. Maybe there were more cool power like the... pizza pizza fruit! Oh, the thought of infinite pizza made Takao tremble and drool. He could almost smell it, the pizza shooting out of his hands then flying into his mouth where he would consume the tasty treat.

"Can I see that book for a few seconds?" he asked the shop keeper.

He needed to see all these other cool fruits, they piqued his interests very much.

"Nonono. Viewing the book is five hundred beli." The shopkeeper said, placing the book down onto the desk and extending his hand for payment. "Or you'll lose kneecaps." he said, gesturing to two burly men on the either side of his stool. One of them cracked his knuckles, he had absolutely no neck (due to his blubbery-like exterior) and the other stood at least three foot taller than the other and had many, many piercings on his ears, nose and so forth. They both glared down oppressively at Takao. "This ain't a free sample, kid." said the fat one.

"C'mon man. Just one tiny peek won't hurt anyone, right?" Takao pleaded, gesturing a small amount with his thumb and index finger.

For a first time in a long time, Takao was actually interested by something. This magical fruits would catch anyone's interest so it was only normal Takao would want to know more about how they work. Maybe he could even grow a fruit himself if he was lucky. The fruits looked weird, they all had this swirly pattern which made Takao feel a little dizzy. They were also all different colors, some blue some pink. He hoped that the taste would be spectacular like it's appearance.

He waited for a response from the men, hoping that response would be some good news.

The stall keeper sighs, clearly annoyed. "Look man, can't you listen? You've got to pay money. M.O.N.E.Y. I was hoping you'd be stupid but you're on a different level, Jie, I'm done with this one." he says, dropping the accent, and waving his hand off as if to shoo Takao away. The one without a neck began to walk intimidatingly toward Takao, attempting to push him away from the stall with both of his arms, which would result in at least a two meter fly should he actually manage to get him.

Meanwhile, Mishi walked out of the shop with a suitcase, walking down one of the many walkways with it slung over her shoulder.

"Damn, guess I'll have to do this the hard way." Takao thought to himself as the men approached him.

He needed to be quick if he ever was gonna get his scrubby little hands on that book, he quickly reached for it and grabbed it by it's spine before pulling it off the table and making a run for it with the book tucked safely under his right arm. He pushed past the crowd in front of him, hoping to make some distance between the gorilla-like men who were now on his trail.

As he pushed and shoved, the crowd began to mutter nasty comments under their breath but that didn't hurt Takao! He was more focused on escaping. Takao wondered what the others were up to, perhaps they were having better luck then he was currently.

Mishi walked out of the walkway and looked around, someone was shouting about a thief and sighed. Yes, this was a criminal residence, but who steals in one of those? Plus, she couldn't remember the punishment for being caught as a thief, probably being kicked to the marines or something. Looking around, it looked like Ram was screaming about the thief, and his two bodyguards were running off. She walked over to him, "What did he look like, Ram?"

Meanwhile, the two guys were hot on Takao's trail, while the fat one pushed through the crowds to get at him, the taller one simply jumped over and weaved through them, probably catching up to T very soon if he didn't do something fast.

Takao ran and ran, the only thing on his mind was how to escape these annoying bodyguards. He decided to take a quick look behind him and he saw that the taller bodyguard was picking up the pace and was about to catch up to him. Gah, Takao knew that he should've took gym class more seriously at school! He needed to slow this guy down, as he ran, he reached for one of the fruits that a nearby stand was selling. Once he had grabbed it he turned and chucked it randomly, there was no time to stop and aim so he could only hope that it'd hit him. Once he had done that, Takao pushed past a rather fat woman and took a turn to the left.

"Is that all you got!?" he yelled back with a smug smirk all over his face.

"Damn it." -Takao, she muttered quietly afterwards.
"You know him?"
"Yes, he's taken from me before." she said, jogging in the direction of where she saw the bodyguards doing, what was Takao thinking? Stealing a book of devil fruits rather than the devil fruit (albeit fake) itself? She let out a loud sigh.

The bodyguards weren't happy with the boy's cockiness, the one with piercings jumped high over the crowd and threw some needle-like daggers toward Takao, while the other one roared for people to get out of the way and charged toward him, renewing his efforts to bring the guy down.

Takao spotted the daggers being thrown towards him and clenched his teeth, damn, he needed to do something quick. However he was too late to react and the daggers dug into the guitar which was strapped onto his back. Luckily, none of the needles cut the guitars's chords. Takao was pissed off and a little relived. The guitar had protected him but now it was damaged.

Takao took another turn, taking yet another fruit, this time a banana. He peeled it with his mouth and took large bite before throwing the skin behind him. In a silly attempt to try and slow them down, would this actually work?

The banana skin was hurled across the air and landed neatly in front of the fat guy, unfortunately some other guy was running across the side of the road and slipped on it instead, the big man jumped over him and proceeded to bull-rush toward Takao, going faster and faster, little by little.

The skinny guy grunted and decided to do what they should've done ages ago. "Stop! Thief!" he shouted, pointing at Takao, a woman with a rather large sword attached to her back and a scar (that was like Zoro's only the other eye, and a little more brutal) tried to backhand Takao as he ran past. She would be.. Fairly strong.

Thief!? Who!? Takao was horrified, there was a thief among them! Takao had to place a close eye to his belongings if he didn't want them go- Wait just a minute, he was the thief! Well, at least he didn't need to worry about getting robbed anytime soon. Takao turned to face the two men chasing after him and stuck out his tongue.

"Hahah! Loooosers!~"

He laughed before turning his head back to the fro-

BOOM

His face collided with a hard, strong fist. He fell backwards, his nose spitting out blood. As he fell, he looked at the face of his attacker. He was gonna get her back, defiantly.

(OOC: I'm guessing you wanted Takao to be caught :p )

(( I dunno what I'm doing, and sorry for the wait, tired from first week of uni stuph, would've given you a way out in the next post :p ))

The two stopped at Takao, the large one attempting to grip the thief by the leg and drag him all the way back to the stand, meanwhile the woman who backhanded Takao sneered at him and walked off, uninterested.
The people would look at Takao before sighing and going on with their daily business, not bothering like some people who would throw rotten vegetables at him because they thought they had the right, most of them were criminals here.
